I can't believe that anyone had a good experience here, as it was one of the worst dining experiences I ever had when I went in February. Â The boy said, "Oh, let's eat at the Earl of Sandwich. Â If he calls himself the Earl, he MUST be good at making sandwiches." Â Nope! Â He was terrible at it actually! Â Not only was the food pretty bad, but the place was SO dirty that I didn't even want to touch the table. Â I had to use the bathroom before we left and what a mistake that was - the place seemed to be teeming with germs. Â It was an awful experience overall. Â Anyways, I just went up to Lincoln this weekend and I actually think that the Earl of Sandwich might have closed. Â I didn't see it on the main street, and where I remembered it to be, there was a new establishment (a cafe of some sort). Â If I am mistaken though, and the place still exists, stay far away.
Review Source:I am SHOCKED that no one has reviewed this yet. Â It's located on a main road, right off the 93 freeway and there's no way you could miss it if you're headed towards Loon Mountain, which is the reason why 90% of traffic gets off here to begin with. Â Earl's has some of the best food I've ever had. Â I came here all the time growing up and used to order grilled cheese, fries, steak and cheese subs, etc. and recently returned as a 24-year-old food snob, ordered the veggie burger with fries and I was absolutely blown away.
If you're headed up the 93 to Waterville or Loon, go here!!
