I have good and bad experiences at East End. The bad experience was more so because the bartender was a d-bag, but I've also had one who was very friendly. I've only had the fried pickles, but I did enjoy them. It's also nice and clean as opposed to a horrible dive bar down the street called Bubbas, which was my first option and turned out to be a HUGE mistake. This place is sooooooo much cleaner, and has better liquor selection, not to mention the servers here usually stay on top of things.
Would go back if ever in the area and looking for a quick drink.
I have been to both locations of East End multiple times. Â I have been to the location on Winchester multiple times for lunch, and they're food never disappoints. Â I have enjoyed their steak salad and their fried sampler baskets.
This time we were in the area doing some shopping. Â After fighting the ridiculous traffic in the Wolfchase parking lot, we needed a drink, so we decided to stop by. Â Well drinks are apparently only $3.25.
We wanted a light snack because we hadn't eaten all day, but we also had upcoming dinner plans. Â We decided upon a sausage and cheese plate. Â The sausage had a nice smoky flavor. Â The cheese was pepper jack and cheddar, and there were pickles and a pepper. Â
I don't care for going to Cordova, but when I'm in the area, this is the place that I like. Â I will definitely be back.
Went the other day. I can see why reviews say it is overpriced. You have to buy things seperate ie: your burger is just a burger, you can add fries for 2 dollars. It is slightly over priced because of this but it is still not as bad as it may have been made out to be. We went during the middle of the day after lunch so it was slow. The food was actuallty pretty good so I don't see why all the bad reviews. The potato salad was something serious. This seems to be a bar first and restuarant second with the food still being good. I can see the place being super packed on the weekend nights with a very lively time. There are spaces marked just for Harly motorcycles. lol I will def go back!
Review Source:Dont waste your time or money. The worst overpriced food ever. My wife had the Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla and she didnt even finish it all (and thats not like my wife at all). I had the fish and chips. Fish was greasy and unseasoned. The sweet tea was so disgusting that my wife sent it back. There was an 18% gratuity added that we had no clue about. The waitress said after 6, everyone has to pay the 18%. After we left, Tina told me that on the bottom of the menu, there is a statement that says you cant send food back after you've received it. I guess that's because they know that their food sux...
Review Source:The post UM basketball game watcher hangers-on packed our primary choice for dinner and a drink or six, so we drove around a bit until we spotted East End. Â It was still a little crowded too but we were all getting hungry and didn't feel like going through the "Where do you want to go?" Â "I don't know where do you want go?" Â "I don't know." cluster again.
As we were waiting to be seated a couple of us took note that with only a couple of exceptions, nobody had food on their table...the DANGER WILL ROBINSON! alarm starts going off in my head.
We sit. Â Server promptly takes drink orders. Â Little bit later, takes food order. Â No prob so far. Â But after 4 refills, we still don't have our food and I'm about 2 beers beyond my proper food to beer ratio - all the while 3 tables seated near to and after us were going nom nom nom on their fried crud sandwiches. Â Mr. Server suddenly becomes interested in the cash register and whatever is going on in any area NOT near us. Â Grrrr
Food finally arrives (it was correct but I was willing to bet my good kidney that it was going to be screwed up). Â It pretty much blew across the board. Â Out of 5 dishes, 4 were nothing to write home about even though the additional alcohol helped distract our taste buds.
Would have given EEG 3 stars cuz it's just a pub/bar afterall, but our server's failure to even acknowledge that we had to wait cost them. Â In addition, I happened to be seated so I could see the sign that read, "All checks after 6pm will include an 18% gratuity". Â So my server gets a reward for being a douche? Â BLOW ME, EEG!
A good, local restaurant. Go here for good southern pub grub- fried goodies and cold beer. They have the best fried cheese in town- they call them cheese balls-and they are oh so good. They took them off the menu a few years back because they could not find a supplier, but they were back on the menu by popular demand. The burgers, mini corn dogs and Nathan's hot dogs are also good.
The outdoor patio is nice and open year round. There is trivia on Thursday nights and a good brunch offerings on the weekends. It's a laid back, casual place to go. It's open late- the kitchen is open until two nightly and the bar until three.
This is a great little neighborhood bar and grill with everything you'd expect in such an establishment. In other words, lots of cold beer.
Actually, the food is pretty good here as well. I used to live in the Bartlett area, and this was one of my regular hangouts, mostly for the beer and the nice patio, but also for something else: The Fried Cheese Balls. I could eat baskets of those things. They make a darn good burger too.
East End is where my friends and I go when we want to get our bar grub on! Â I love the fried cheese nuggets while my friends like the fried mushrooms. Â Anyplace where you can get mini corn dogs and beer is great with me. Â The burgers are good and just know that you will be sharing your fries with friends. Â In the multiple years I've been going there, we've never had a wait for a table but know if you are going during Tiger sport seasons, you may want to get there early to snag a prime spot in front of the TVs!
Review Source:If you find yourself out in East Jesus and can't bear the thought of entering  a 'McBar & grill' with a server decked out in 'flair', stop in to the East End Grill. Its almost like a midtown bar transplanted to the 'burbs. East End Grill is a fully stocked bar, friendly service and open late.
Nice outside patio area.
Reason to chow, I mean go: the Cajun Amber jack sandwich and/or the Tuna Teriyaki sandwich.
