East Landis Hotel & Motel

Not so much a hotel/motel, but a good old-fashioned flop house.

If this is your only option to stay when traveling, I'd sleep in my car or at the bus station if I were you.

Convenient hourly rates for the "working girls". $40 a night for everybody else.

The rooms are extremely cheap- $40 a night. If you are on a shoestring budget, the East Landis is where you would stay. But for your own safety I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. I grew up in this neighborhood. The East Landis Motel and the Travel Lodge across the street are where the vagabonds, hookers, drug dealers and displaced make their home.   A lot of people actually LIVE here.  The city has wanted to close this for years because it is such a magnet for undesirable clientele and is getting closer to that goal.  The plan is to raze the properties at this intersection and start fresh.  Anything would be an improvement.
