Unlike the El Cazador in Altavista, this establishment is clean and offers a creative menu with delicious food. I've had several dishes including a shrimp and  chicken quesadilla and pollo ranchero.
The portions are generous on modern square dishes. The chicken ranchero was served with visible bits of what had to be freshly chopped jalapeno peppers. The refried beans could have stood on their own they were so flavorful--not bland or overly salted.
The main trend at El Cazador that I praise above all else is the freshness and variety of the meals they offer. This is two-fold. First, there have always been interesting specials or offerings as opposed to your taco, fajita, burrito. Second, the plates are garnished with HEALTHY foods like avocado, jalapeno, Â or lime.
Lynchburg would really benefit if El Cazador planted a restaurant here but I fear that won't happen because the locals are so stunningly infatuated with La Carreta. Congratulations to the counties for hitching their forks to this shining star.
