ate here for the first time and it was simply a delightful experience. the food portion is a steal for the price. the chips and salsa - plentiful, i really like their salsa, it's got the right about spice and heat with a hint of cilantro, not overly powering so you still have taste buds left for the entree. Their carnitas was fattyjuicy melt in your mouth. the enchiladas was to die for, i really like the sauce. I'm not really one to drink but a casual browse at the drink menu and saw the price for margaritas was draw dropping in a really good way ($2.99 for 14 oz and $12 for a small pitcher.. hello ~! that's unheard of) Â note to self... must bring friends to share the experience. Service was great, refill on drinks and chips/salsa without frills, the waiters really look out for their customers. we'll definitely be back for more. this place is a hidden gem outside of charlotte.
Review Source:This place has only been open a few months but the owners are veterans in the business. The food was good and the salsa tasted better than most we've had. In fact, I ended my meal with chips and salsa instead of dessert.
The atmosphere is casual and the decor is very attractive. The menu is basic but has everything I would expect at a Mexican restaurant. The vegetarian options are the usual cheese, spinach, or veggies in different forms. This will probably become our "go to" for Mexican food.
The restaurant looks great! Â We had dinner in their 2nd day. Â The place was packed and had a line out the door (a good sign to me!!). Â We ordered drinks at the bar and only waited 10 min for a table. Â The servers were very friendly and helpful. Â My dinner, Burritos Cancun, was delicious! Â Me friends ordered chimichangas and were happy too. Â We shared a pitcher of Top Shelf margaritas, very good. Â The only thing we didn't care for was the salsa that came with the chips. Â We mentioned this when we paid the bill and our critique was well received. Â We will definitely be back!
