Sometimes they have awesome events like Drinking and Drawing and regularly have some local subpar musicians playing. Drinks are moderately priced and I would have to agree I've encountered some of the rudest bartenders here. I could feel for them since some really scuzzy people do frequent this establishment.

There is pool and I hate sports bars so there's little hope.

As a townie, go elsewhere unless you have to come here to support a friend in some band.

Hit or miss, only because the music and nights vary.  Most people who go, know what they are going for.  Others may just hop in on a random night because they like to check out live music, and see what happens.

Covers also vary...some nights it's free, others it could be $5 (any cover prices go to the musicians playing).  So again, it's like a grab bag.  If you just want to go to have random fun, swing by and see if anything is up.  If not, check schedules to see what's going on before you go.

As aforementioned, the bar next door is also adjoining and one can pass through both if desired....sometimes music is going on next door there too.

It's a fair bar. My friend and I just wanted a drink, but ended up being asked for a $5 cover to see the lame band that was playing that night. After noticing we were a bit discouraged, the doorboy offered us a 2-for-$5 which seemed better.

The bartender had no presence at all. Actually, I don't think she said a single word to us the entire evening. She kind of just nodded cordially and gave us our change back in a creepy sort of way. Maybe she even stepped back to her register without turning her back on us, medieval style. I don't know. Either way, she didn't act like most bartenders.

The drinks were the same price as anywhere else. $7-$8 for a damn sweet Long Island. The bar area was clean. The bathrooms were clear.

Good thing about this bar? It's connected to the sports bar next door, so you can go there if you get sick of this one.
