Emerald Restaurant

The service was fast and courteous.  I was nervous when I saw that they allowed smoking in this restaurant (it is in a casino, after all), but we couldn't smell any smoke from where we sat in non-smoking.  I ordered the Seafood Alfredo and my daughter ordered the lobster rolls.  The quality of the food was good for the price and the quantity was just right, but don't expect to take any leftovers home.   We ate around 5 PM on a Friday and there was a 10 minute wait.  I would expect I wait longer later in the evening.

What a mistake. After waiting what seemed like 1/2 hour for our food, the order was all sorts of wrong. No blueberries in the blueberry pancakes. White toast instead of wheat. But the best was the piece of bacon on my eggs (I'm a vegetarian). Luckily the hubby's eggs were not contaminated. If we weren't so hungry, we would've sent it all back but by this point we just wanted to get out of there.

Do yourself a favor and go to Dunkin Donuts across the street.

On Sept. 4, 2011 in Syracuse NY 10 burgers (one from each region of ny) battled for the best burger in the state.  After hearing about their nomination for the best burger in their region my friend and I went to see what their burger was all about.

There are 2 types of food at casinos... the good and the cheap. Winning a nomination I felt that Emerald was one of the nicer places. In the end it was the later. Nominations were based on votes. They definitely have the foot traffic to get the votes. If your there and need a bite then it a cheap place to go without leaving the tables to cool. If your there for the burger you might want to drive a bit further. Although it will beat a fast food joint still a food factory feel.
