Visiting Hattiesburg for a football game, and we came to the End Zone before and after the game. Â Large place, ultra-local scene, with friendly service and welcoming attitudes from the staff and locals alike. Â It is the college student hang-out for the Southern Miss crowd; our group had a wide range of ages and we all enjoyed ourselves. Â Saturday afternoon the crowd wasnt overwhelming; late Saturday the place was jammed. Â I would recommend this place a highlight of Hattiesburg, and since there isnt much else to the town, I'm giving it 4 stars.
Review Source:Local bar has a little something for everybody. Â Odd layout with two rooms separated by a door/divider, and attached to a small diner which may or may not be part of the same business (??). Â One room resembles a unpretentious beer-centric pub/sports bar, and the other a small-town pool-hall dive. Â
It's a place where folk can feel comfortable swilling domestic brews while playing pool among the wood-paneled walls and copious Southern Miss memorabilia, while at the same time if you feel like living it up with a handcrafted double IPA, they'll be glad to indulge you. Â
The food is fried, barish, fast, hot, and delicious. Â And the crowd is a little of everyone who lives in southern Mississippi. Â Except maybe snooty suburban types, but who wants to drink beer with them anyway?
