End Zone Sports Pub & Restaurant

This review is long over due, I've used to come to the End Zone a lot because quite frankly their isn't a lot of options in Mechanicville to go to, to grab a bite to eat and a beer.  Back in the day the food was consistly good.  Now I tend to avoid eating here because the food the past couple of times I've eat or ordered from here just hasn't been good.

This past time I called and ordered for a take out order.  The girl that pick up the phone didn't have a clue if their was any specials...really?  The only special she said they had was a polish platter, which sounded good but the girl on the phone did not know what was in the platter. While it sounded good I didn't order it because I didn't know what type of polish fare was in the platter.  I ended up ordering a order of their potato skins, a rooster revenge sandwich, which is basically a boneless chicken wing sandwich with jalapeno or Monterey Jack  cheese.( I can't remember)  I ordered mine with #2 sauce plain, meaning all I wanted was the chicken and cheese and bun.  It came with French fries, I informed the girl taking my order that the past 2 times I order fries they were burned, and the other time they were soggy.  She informed me they will be cook correctly.  I also ordered a cheese burger with fries.

When I arrived there to pick up my food the place was practically empty.  There was only 1 party outside eating.  I still had to wait another 10 minutes after being told over the phone it would be ready 20-25 minutes.  

When I got home to eat the food my sandwich was made wrong, it didn't have any cheese on it and it had lettuce and tomato's on it.  The sandwich was really greasy and the fries were just like I have a had in the past, burned and covered in oil. I wish the cook would have blot dry the chicken and fries off with paper towels after coming out of the deep fryer to absorb all the excess oil.  The potato skins were all grease and over cooked.  The bottom of the skin was black.  I ended up throwing them away.  The burger was cooked perfectly but again the fries were nasty. I will just stick with the beer here and pass on the food.

Darts, video crack, pool & a jukebox. The pool table is in an awkward spot; it's in the middle of the bar/hang out area, which makes it difficult to play once people pile in.

Good food to boot!

Overall, pretty chill spot, decent people & good drink options.

Great pizza, great neighborhood atmosphere, great bar.  Quality at a reasonable price.
