Sooooooo, it's the 6th of July and I don't want another piece of grilled meat. I've got family in town and they don't want any grilled meat either. Â What to do, what to do? Â Some anti-grilled meat eater makes a suggestion to go the buffet at the casino. Â They've heard it's pretty good. Â My collection of anti-grilled meat eaters agree to give the buffet at the casino a shot, and away we go to Indiana. Â
I have to admit, I have done my fair share of casino buffets in my day (e.g. a week in Vegas with a specific mission to dine at each and every buffet Sin City had to offer), so I didn't really have any expectations. Â I don't know if it was the heat or what, but the food was really good. Â We went on a Friday night and just happened to catch the Seafood Buffet. Â The seafood buffet is a bit pricey ($26/ person) but since there is a never-ending supply of Alaskan crab legs, who am I to complain (as ya'll well know my penchant for crab legs). Â The rest of the buffet was worth the money though. Â There is an array of salads, soups, veggies, meats (mostly non-grilled thank you very much), and desserts. Â Oh the desserts (re: bread pudding w/ caramel and rum sauce)! Â
After dinner, Â we spent a little time walking around the casino (walking down dinner was more like it) and eventually made it to the penny slots where we all won and lost the same $1. :-) Â Overall, I would go back any day and any time to enjoy the buffet. Â Kudos, Hollywood Casino and Epic Buffet.
