Yes, Virginia, you can get authentic pizza in rural Cecil County. Â Their pepperonis and sausages come from a Baltimore Italian meats distributor and are delicious. Â (I ran into him one day as he was making a sales call.) Â Their veggie pizzas are great too. Â I also sometimes get a meatball sub there, served on real italian bread and not some generic hoagie form Sysco. Â Most other pizza in Harford/Cecil County has tasted like school cafeteria food to me. Â If you want the crust to be extra-thin, just ask.
There isn't much seating so it's more of a take out place. Â They do go back to Italy every August so don't be surprised if you can't reach them at that time.
Just moved from the NC area and I'm originally from Providence and this is the best pizza I've had in years. The staff is straight from Italy and the food tastes genuine and fresh every time. Pizza is phenomenal and this is my first review because this pizza joint warranted more reviews than it has.
Review Source:I live in Perryville and this is the best place to get a pizza in the area. They are so friendly and they do remember you by your order.
They close for a month every summer for vacation and that is usually without warning and the phone will just ring when you call. That makes a lot of people think they are closed for good. Then you drive by a month later and they are open and all lit up again. I would suggest they get an answering machine so they can record an outgoing message that "we are closed until___" and hanging a sign with their return date would help them.
But all around the food is GREAT and the service and employees are EVEN BETTER!
I can't believe no one has written a review of this place until just this month! I used to live in Perryville a few years ago and this was a diamond in the rough. Authentic Italian shop. Great food, awesome pizza. they do it their way and you like 'em for it. Always friendly, always acknowledge folks when they come in. They knew me by my phone orders. My daughter always wanted: "Plain turkey sub with ketchup, please". I'd say the order over then phone and get the same response every time: "Ketchup?!"
Now that I live in the area again I'll stop back in and say hi.
Man, I almost forgot about this place until I pulled up Yelp for the area.
Saved again. that was a close one.
I don't know why it says this place is closed - it's open. Â I know they close for vacation for a week or two every summer - maybe that's why? I LOVE this place! My family orders food from here all the time and we have never been disappointed. Â This is a little "hole-in-the-wall" kind of place owned by Italian guys. The staff is always friendly (in a quick sort-of way) and it's a good environment if you want to eat there (we usually take ours home). The food is pretty simple - nothing fancy. The prices are reasonable. The pizza is some of the best that I've ever had. Â Everything - the cheese, the crust, the sauce - it's all good. I've ordered from here when I had company a few times and everyone seems to agree. We love their cheesesteak subs too. Â Usually we order subs and pizza, but I had their lasagna once and it was pretty good. Â The portion was big enough for two people and it came with some tasty garlic bread. Â We really enjoy our dinners from this place and we will keep going back as long and they're around!
