Ate lunch here, had the clubhouse with swiss, side salad. Friendly server, decent jukebox. Clean place, both in tidiness and in decor. Lots of monitors for the sports crowd. My friend was disappointed by their lack of thousand island and wheat bread. The side salad was nice, not just a pile of iceberg. I didn't have any alcohol, but their beer selection seemed good. Their taps are hidden; something to do with Colorado liquor licenses for restaurants. Would definitely stop by again.
Update: Went by the next day for a beer. Had a salad at the place next door, but won't make that mistake again: the salad was better here at Fairway. Interestingly enough, I couldn't get just a beer here: the Colorado Restaurant liquor license doesn't allow for it. But they have a $1.50 order of chips and salsa, cheap enough for a "drinking tax", and I indulged in sampling some of Colorado's finest.
I seriously tried to give this place a chance. I have been a few times with co-workers since its so close to work. Today a group of us went for lunch to celebrate an accomplishment. To make a long story short every single person (8) basically stated they will never come back. I ordered a Chicago dog and a side salad. When my food arrived, the so called Chicago dog was the size of a .99 cent hot dog at 711 and looked like it had been sitting under a warmer for days. The bun was from a cheap .99 cent package you get at Walmart. Â The relish looked so old I wouldn't touch it and the pickles were those chips you get out of a cheap bottle for hamburgers. Â I politely told the waitress that it did not look appealing and she immediately started barking at me. Finally she eventually said, "yeah I think he ordered the wrong hot dogs" and still refused to take it back. I'm in a manager roll at work so I just gave up not wanting to piss the waitress off any more or make a scene. She told me she could "add" something on and gave me a small plate of fries and still charging the the full price of 8.99. Â I obviously didn't touch the hot dog. When another waitress came to take our plates she skipped over me since I had not touched it. I told her I was done and she could take it. She literally turned red and hustled off obviously noticing how horrible it looked.
I have also tried the garlic burger (mediocre) and and the Philly cheese steak (no thanks).
This location has had several restaurants over the years. I'm hoping someday someone will get it right.
Sorry Fairway, the strikes your out.
