So, I had no idea what to expect from the Karaoke Cafe, and unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. It is definitely a family place... which is fine, if you are going out with a family, however, I was out with the single ladies wanting to have some fun on a Saturday night and did not really want to listen to a dozen different kids singing (although the 8 year old who sang "Before He Cheats" was hilarious). We were there for almost 2 hours and didn't even get to sing because there were too many request from all the little kids.

I guess if you are wanting something to do with the kids, this would be a fun place... but I wouldn't recommend it if you are an adult wanting to have a night out on the town. I didn't realize either that it was a "non alcoholic place". I don't actually drink but part of the fun of Karaoke is watching all the drunk people getting up to sing, or actually having the tipsy crowd sing and clap along as you are up there singing. There wasn't much audience participation here, which was a little sad.

Overall, it was okay, but I am not sure I will be back. Next time my friends and I will probablly either go to a bar for Karaoke night, or play Rockband at home.

This place is epic. Seriously get a group of friends you know you will have fun with and get there STAT!!

A $5 cover charge gets you in for unlimited singing possibilities and a free drink. The rooms are quaint yet spacious. There is a private room you can rent or there are 2 great sized rooms for public singing. Our group started the party off at 6 when the cafe was empty, and it was ideal for us; there were 9 of us and we all had ample time to sing plenty of solos and duets. The rest of the crowd started spilling in around 8. There are songs for everyone from every genre. This place is child friendly with plenty of songs for children. I sang C is for Cookie with my mate Amy and brought the house down (it helps that I had some laryngitis going on so I sounded like Cookie Monster!) EPIC!

Okay, so the other review was rather harsh on the food. Let me just say that this food is alright. This is a karaoke cafe, not a gourmet cafe. Going into the place knowing it was not going to be a 5-star restaurant, I actually was pleased with what I got. I had the chicken strip basket which came with fries. I also enjoyed a chocolate milkshake that tasted like it was made with scooped ice cream (former soda jerk here, I know my shakes!) Everyone I was with enjoyed their food. We had a variety: jalapeño poppers, various burgers, a ham sandwich, various ice cream treats, onion rings. I did not hear one negative comment from any of the group on the food. Food cost just right for the size and quality. I enjoyed it all.

Seriously are you still reading this? Get a group of your buddies and go embarrass yourself with some epic karaoke!

Message to Michael T. of Karaoke Cafe

I was served cheap crappy food, when I went to this establishment.  But for your rebuttal  I will give it one more try.  I am only doing this, because I am a Murray local, and I do love good food at walking distance.   I.E,  The Tea Rose, and Wasatch Broiler.  You are a new addition to Murray, and I understand you have some kinks to work out. .... I  have found in this state that people love medoicrity,   I am not one of those people.   I look forward to coming back, and getting an enjoying burger, and look forward to updating my negative remarks.  You can purchase from whom ever you choose.  If  the cook sucks, then the food is going to suck.  Don't fail me, on my second go around.
