The family and I always goto Legends if we are planning a night out for dinner maybe 2-3 a month. They have always had great tasting food, huge portions and reasonably priced but the past couple of times we have been there it has not been the same. The steak is either not cooked the way we asked so it comes out raw, mashed potatoes were cold and we had waited for our food for 45 minutes. The fried scallops which have always been a good size were the size of a nickel and were chewy. It's sad because we thought that we had finally found a consistent place especially with the economy the way it is. I hope that they go back to the good food, portions and service that they once had or else we wont be going back.

I have only had drinks here and have not tried the food.  A convenient spot right off the highway to meet friends and the hurricanes and Captain and Cokes are acceptable.  Not a place to spend any time in.  An uncomfortable environment especially as the evening hours approach.  I won't say poor white trash like a previous reviewer but the sentiments are understandable.

The other reviewers have it right.  Overpriced, run down, and a  bit grimy.

It was a little run down and just a tad overpriced for what it was. I got "the best" salad, which was good, and onion rings. They had a mediocre brew selection and the waitstaff were very "local".. if you catch my drift. I really got a belly ache after, i think it was the fry-o-later onion rings, which strangely tasted like chinese food!?
I wouldn't choose to eat here again, but someone else in my party got the mac and cheese and it looked pretty good, so maybe if invited again, i would try that.

    How do I begin?
First off.... This place is pure trash. Ive been here a few time. The most recent time was a week ago. My story begins...
    .
I   was needing a drink after work, a girl I work with but don't like asked me and my boyfriend to go. I said no because this place is filled with bikers and trashy girls and guys who want to get laid in the parking lot. I went home to changed and the band was already half way threw the set when I came. I ordered a vodka on the rocks with lemon ( something I knew they couldn't screw up) I went to the area where the band was. The lites are so bright, like turned on full blast. I could see the floor hasn't been cleaned in a year and every detail of the white trash people in that place.

I leaned up against the wall and two feet from me two of the fattest oldest woman I ever seen were dry humping each other in front of the room trying to be hot. They were grabbing each others chest, butt  and making out. Yes everyone was watching.

Then a girl in a skirt joined in and they were lifting it up grabbing at her underwear. Was I in a stripclub I thought?
My boyfriend then offers me a slice of pizza he just ordered and I almost puked.

Then I see that a girl had removed her shirt and was dancing in the front row ( the music was not good, nor was it rip your clothes off good. In fact the lead singer was a tall lanky ginger who has a sweating problem and looked strikingly similar to the greasy pizza I was just offered) the bouncers did nothing about the topless girl and the owner was in the back creepily watching this hole sh*t show go down.
It went on till the end of the show, by witch point everyone is drunk, a guy offered me a beer, I said no thank you , and he screamed "F*** You C***"
    Yeah like I said. TRASHY
    DONT GO!!!!!!

Decent food.  Good drinks.  Great bartenders.  Don't be scared that it is a local place.  Come and have a good time!

The quintessential local-dive... It's a sports bar first, and restaurant second.

I have friends that live in the area, so I've been to this place several times over the years, not much has changed.

The meals vary in portion size, cost, and quality.  The other night I went, someone ordered a side of pasta, another ordered a full meal, and they were the exact same size, and the side was half the price.  Didn't quite understand that?!  I ordered the King Cut Prime Rib, and was very disappointed, as it was advertised as 22-24ozs.  They failed to mention that it was bone-in prime rib, where the bone constituted half the size... I felt ripped off.

The wait staff is very local.  Not sure how to be constructive without being rude.  Hopefully you can read between the lines...

There aren't many restaurant options in the area, so this place scores a 3 star (where it probably deserves lower).

This seems like the place to go on the weekends in Raymond. Famous Legends Sports Bar & Grill is located in the same building as the bowling alley, The place has a raised up glass enclosed bar area with TVs surrounding the bar overhead, and table and booth seating throughout the rest of the restaurant. They check IDs before entering the bar area. As you enter the place, there's a glass dessert case with a good variety including Chocolate Polenta, Tiramisu, Chocolate Mousse Pie, Fruit Tart, pastries and more.

The menu offers the typical pub fare including appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, pizza, calzones (with ricotta), pasta, seafood, steaks, chicken, veal, and more. A list of daily specials is given with the menu.

Okay, I stopped in here for dinner and the bar area was pretty loud and packed. I got here around 9:45 PM on a Friday night and asked if they were still serving and YES they served food until 10PM, so I got seated quickly ouside the glass bar where I could watch the end of the Red Sox game and hear the live music in the next room. I knew what I wanted and ordered the Baked Italian Combo Special ($12.95) served with a salad. The basic salad was a plate of romaine lettuce with tomatoes, green peppers, and a cup of dressing. The baked dinner arrived in 15 minutes very hot, which was a generous portion of cheese tortellini, sliced sausage, meatball, white meat chicken in marinara sauce and topped with a crap load of melted mozzarella cheese, very filling and decent tasting. The service was courteous and efficient. Overall, a decent place for food and drinks in a loud sports bar environment.

    HOURS: Mon-Fri: 11AM-1AM; Sat-Sun: 7:30AM-1AM
    Serving Breakfast Saturday & Sunday
    Lunch Specials $5.95 and up
