We've eaten here twice so far, and will definitely continue to come back! The wonton soup was excellent, handmade wontons. We also had pepper steak, sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken, all delicious. We've been looking for high quality chinese food since we moved to Arkansas 8 years ago from the northeast, and Far East is definitely it!
Review Source:This joint replaced the old Hunan Chinese. Â It has the appearance of a chain business, but I can't confirm that. Â My Mom and I decided to check it out one night on the suggestion of a neighbor. I will say that it is a little pricier than you'd you expect for Chinese. However, if you eat in, you'll feel that its worth it. We had more than enough food especially after ordering the complete dinner with our entree. The complete dinner includes a soup, egg roll, and crab rangoon for an additional $2.75. Â My mother had the shrimp special which was like a General Tso dish with shrimp instead of chicken, I had the Twice Cooked Pork. Both dishes were good although I think we both enjoyed the pork dish more. Spicy is actually spicy but not too hot. The hot and sour soup has good flavor but is slightly thicker than I'm used to. Appetizers are what you expect. Service was excellent; our waiter was very attentive, however there weren't a lot of people dining the night we were there. Â
Since that visit I've had delivery that was brought promptly after we ordered. Tried the eggplant dish that time along with the combination fried rice. Fried rice was good, the eggplant dish was decent but not as good as I've had it when Hunan was still in business. Far East will stay on my list for a quick Asian fix in LR.
