Farmer's kitchen is a quaint little place in the middle of nowhere -- or what feels like the middle of nowhere -- New York. Â It is a well placed local place that serves up a hearty breakfast to weary travelers who are traveling between Route 17 and Rochester via I-390.
I had stopped in after a long night of driving and had myself the Farmer's Kitchen open faced omelet which consisted of three eggs, homefries, sausage gravy and cheddar cheese, it comes with toast and a nice garnish of an orange wedge.
While sitting and waiting I took in the atmosphere. Â It was a very cozy small place and almost felt like being in the kitchen / dining room of a farmhouse. Â It had a very rustic and homey feel. Â The waitress was very pleasant and took good care of me.
They do seem to pride themselves upon their homestyle food which was pretty darn good. Â They also offer up a selection of freshly homemade pies which I did not get to have, but would love to stop and give them a try at some other time when I come back through here.
The food was good, the coffee hot and fresh, the wait staff nice and made for a decent place to stop for breakfast. Â Try it when you are in the area.
