Farmer's kitchen is a quaint little place in the middle of nowhere -- or what feels like the middle of nowhere -- New York.  It is a well placed local place that serves up a hearty breakfast to weary travelers who are traveling between Route 17 and Rochester via I-390.

I had stopped in after a long night of driving and had myself the Farmer's Kitchen open faced omelet which consisted of three eggs, homefries, sausage gravy and cheddar cheese, it comes with toast and a nice garnish of an orange wedge.

While sitting and waiting I took in the atmosphere.  It was a very cozy small place and almost felt like being in the kitchen / dining room of a farmhouse.  It had a very rustic and homey feel.  The waitress was very pleasant and took good care of me.

They do seem to pride themselves upon their homestyle food which was pretty darn good.  They also offer up a selection of freshly homemade pies which I did not get to have, but would love to stop and give them a try at some other time when I come back through here.

The food was good, the coffee hot and fresh, the wait staff nice and made for a decent place to stop for breakfast.  Try it when you are in the area.
