Fast Eddy's Billiards

It's got a jukebox stocked full of hick-hop & top 40, which attracts the bottom feeders and baybillies alike.  In that way it has the atmosphere of a small town bowling alley... except this place is always dead.  Things are certainly slow at Fast Eddies.  I guess thats why it's so expensive, too.   Never mind the Rat Pack.. This place is for the hood rats.

Have you ever had a craving for a steak? No side dishes, no sauces or toppings, just a slab of beef, with maybe a little dash of salt and pepper at most?  Well sometimes I feel the same way about my bars (and pool halls).  Sometimes I don't need my bar to have a bunch of signature cocktails, artistic lighting, and unique decor.  Sometimes I just want to post up with a cold beer or a neat bourbon and have an unassuming kind of evening.  Fast Eddy's is your typical dirty dive billiard and bar that hasn't changed in decades.   I've never had a bad time there, the staff is always very friendly, and it's a great place to unwind after work. The best part of all is that it turns out that hipsters are like zombies: it'll take em awhile to wander away from their hubs. It's proximity away from UCSC and downtown SC has allowed it to remain hipster free and proud.
