Easily my favorite spot in Carolina Beach. The cooler is pretty neat (although I noticed some people weren't fans). Lots of beer selection and the place has a total beach hut vibe. Furniture is eclectic, there are board games for patrons and a funky patio where you can sit inside a land-wrecked ship to enjoy your beverages with the friends.
Review Source:I give it an extra star for the ambience, but this place sucks. Â You have to go into this walk-in cooler to get your beer, and all the traffic makes all the beers luke warm at best by the time you pay, which takes about 20 minutes of standing in line. Â You pay these 'bartenders,' who are obviously too lazy to get the customers a beer, and then they act like they deserve a tip for all there hard work. Â Next time, go to a beer cave at a gas station, at least the beers are cold.
Review Source:I love me some fat pelican. Â This is one of my favorite stops in Carolina Beach. Â They have some of the most amazing beers in their walk in cooler. Â A little pricey, but a very good selection. Â The whole place is covered in yard sale items, and basically has the theme of one mans junk is another mans treasure. Â This is a must visit place if you are in Carolina Beach. Â Check it out, and relax in the sandy pit out back.
