Jack Mackerel's Island Grill

Service was great, and beer was priced well at $2 a bottle.  Nothing was glaringly wrong through the meal, but really nothing exciting either.  In the end, the crab cakes were mediocre at best, salmon didnt sit well with other guests and chicken sandwich was sub par.  The menu is over priced for the quality.

Visited again while staying at Carolina Beach.  My husband and I sat on the roof top deck and had lunch.  We split a mahi sandwich and it was delicious.

The appetizer portions are like a meal, and the meals feed two people.  We ordered over the phone for a large pickup order (11 orders) since we figured that would be easier than dining in.  Some of the orders were missing or not complete (they did fix, but we had to wait 30 plus minutes).  It was the 1st busy weekend of the summer season, so I am guessing that had something to do with the issues.
