Fennellys' Irish Pub

My husband and eat here when visiting family in the area. Couldn't wait to have the catfish again. While still very good, I'm wondering if they changed chefs. There didn't seem to be as much seasoning, if any, this time around. Still, it's always nice to relax and have a Guinness here. Banofrey pie was deliceous.

Yet another fantastic small business in this scenic town.  I love Elkader and places like Fennelly's are much of the reason why.  This is a good take on an Irish themed pub and eatery and they offer surprisingly authentic items here like boxty and Irish Stew for a town of this size. I thought my Irish Stew was very satisfying when coupled with a pint of Guinness and very affordably priced

They'll even top your Guinness with an authentic shamrock pour just like they do at St. James Gate in Dublin.  If I lived here, I would be a regular for sporting events and relaxing with friends.  As a visitor, I give a strong recommendation for anyone passing through this beautiful part of the state for a rock solid, quality meal at an affordable price with a personal touch.
