I'm sorry to report this little gem has burned to the ground. The owner was in the process of expanding the restaurant into an adjoining business because the restaurant was popular enough to warrant the expansion. (My personal experience was that lunches at Fiesta Mexicana were wonderful and quite affordable.) Hopefully, the business will rebuild but since the building has totally collapsed and been smoldering for several days I can't imagine it will be anytime soon. My sincere regrets go out to all the employees that always made the dining experience such a pleasure.
Review Source:Update from my last review in 2010...Fiesta's has expanded the menu, adding several dishes including Hidalgo style short ribs and Chori Pollo (chicken breast with cheese sauce and chorizo). The Chori Pollo has become my wifes new favorite dish. They are also expanding the restaurant, taking over the building next door.
If you like Mexican, do yourself a favor and come to Fiesta!
You'll miss this place if you're not careful when driving down Shelbyvilles historic Main St. Just across from the VFW and new parking lot next to !st Presbyterian Church, there is little or no signage out front. But inside the atmosphere is warm and family-style reminding me of my introduction to Mexican Food in Southern California in the late sixties. Large platters served piping hot out of the kitchen with plenty of refried beans, lettuce, and rice with most all servings. There's nothing here to keep me from coming back the next time I'm in the neighborhood, but picking out the right storefront the first time you visit can be tricky since there's a sport's bar just to the right of this spot.
