When I walk into Final Cut steak house, I don't need a menu. Â Every item on the evolving menu is worth double the cost, yet I can't stray from my go to favorite. Â 28 oz. porterhouse steak cooked medium and slightly charred on the outside with a side of asparagus. Â It wouldn't be complete without the mushrooms, onions & bernaise. Â Top it off with a side of Johnny Walker Blue Label & you're in for the best night of your life. Â Enjoy the professional & courteous service. Â Easily one of the best chef's in the tri-state (if not THE best).
Review Source:I came here for an office dinner party and I was actually surprised about how good the food was. They served pretzel roll along with sourdough which was a nice change. I got their wedge salad which was excellent, as well as an order of bacon for my appetizer. Yes, they have BACON as an appetizer and it is just about the most amazing thing ever...thick cut with a mustard dipping sauce...you have got to try it! I got the 6oz filet and my husband got the bone-in ribeye, we were both surprised that it compared well to the Jeff Ruby's steaks we've had. I topped everything off with the creme brûlée trio. It came with coconut and chocolate flavors, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but the normal one was super tasty. As a warning, my husband commented that his chocolate cake was a bit dry. The service was alright, the waiter on our side made a couple mistakes but I get the idea that he was just new. I think I'll probably come back and recommend you try it out, even if it's just for the bacon.
Review Source:I'm a big Jeff Ruby's fan, and didn't expect the Final Cut Steakhouse would measure up. Pleasantly surprised! The steaks were VERY good, cooked perfectly, and generous cuts. Sides were very good as well...recommend the assortment of sauteed mushrooms.
For an app, I had the stuffed mushrooms which were some of the best I've had.
Very elegant atmosphere for a midwest casino steakhouse. Pricey, but that was somewhat expected since they have a captive audience of casino go-ers.
Service was top notch, too. Well worth the trip whether your gambling at the casino, or looking for a top caliber steak.
This was by far the worst dining experience I've had in two years, and I eat out twice a week. We had reservations weeks in advance but they still stuck our large group of 11 in a table for no more than 8 people. We were scrunched and the servers could not even get around the table. We were handing each other our drinks and the server dropped a greasy part of a steak on our table which my husband then got on his shirt. The only thing we came out of this restaurant with was disappointment and a dry cleaning bill.
The service was terrible, our server was not friendly and she made the busser and other servers do all of the work. Yes, there were 11 people in our group, but the lack of service was unacceptable.
The food quality was terrible. I typically always order steak when I go out but saw that they had sea bass on their menu. I've had wonderful sea bass before and was expecting the same quality. The fish was bad, probably old, and cooked unevenly. There were charred parts on the outside and the inside was a very slimy consistency, My husband had the special and the flavor combination was better than mine, but the risotto was not prepared correctly and was sticking in our teeth. Three people in our group ordered their steaks medium, each one came out cooked at a different temperature (none of them medium), one of them being so tough and not even the slightest bit of pink at all. I was very unimpressed with the sides. Our server raved about the creamed corn and said there would be riots if they took it off of the menu... the corn was clearly out of a can. Terrible and cold. The only good thing that came out of the dining experience was the onion soup, it was terrific.
I will never go back to this restaurant and will highly suggest people not to waste their money. The food quality was something that you would find at an everyday chain restaurant, but at least they could prepare it consistently and cooked correctly with friendlier and more attentive service. Very, very disappointed and sorry it ruined what was suppose to be a celebratory evening.
I am an avid Yelper. So far, Yelp has not steered me wrong on a good meal. However, while traveling to Florence, KY/Cincinnati we were plagued with the fact that each restaurant yelped only had a handful of reviews. I had to try another trusty app while driving and craving a delicious dinner... aroundme/urban spoon. They both lead me to Final Cut steakhouse so I thought I'd give it a go. It is in a casino but far enough away from the smoke.
The decor is tasteful and the wine menu is some sort of ipad you get to mess around with before the food comes. We chose Umberto Fiore's Moscato they carry and it was DELICIOUS. Very sweet and sparkling like a dessert wine and not dry at all. The bread they bring you is so tasty. You know you hit the jackpot when they come out with PRETZEL BREAD. Not too many places do this, and who the heck doesn't like pretzels?
My party ordered : the steak fillet and licked the plate clean. Note: Sauces and sides are extra $$$. The chicken was good, not too memorable and my Dad said the salmon was out of this world. These two sea and poultry dishes come with sides and the veggies almost outshine the protein. Its a bit spendy but I definitely recommend for a relaxing nice dinner with some frank sinatra playing in the background.
Another elegant steakhouse inside a casino, this one is really first class. The only bad thing we've ever had here is lobster. It was very large, and very tough. We couldn't cut it with a steak knife, which was actually kind of funny. I guess the drinks up front helped us to see the humor in that! We heard other people complaining about the lobster as well.
Steaks are "cut with a fork" tender and oh so good, salads are perfect, and this past weekend I had Chilean Sea Bass that was outstanding. But my favorite dish here is the Mac and Cheese. They put blue cheese in it and that really takes it up a notch. It's divine - I wouldn't dream of coming here and not having it, cause it rocks my world.
All the sides are typical steak house in that they would feed a family of four. Just get one and share. Crème Brulee here is excellent as well. I've never had any of the other desserts (life is too short not to eat the Crème Brulee) but they look awfully good.
After being this well fed and feeling like a new spare tire popped out, we head back to the casino to work it off. Isn't that why casino's feed you so well? That's my theory. Or is it just run by nice people who understand my need to eat well and have a little fun before I die?
