Firehouse Subs

This is easily my favorite chain sandwich place that I have tried. Staff is always friendly, warm delicious subs delivered quickly and there is of course the fun drink machine. This applies to both the Avon and Plainfield locations. I have tried a handful of the sandwiches but my favorites are Club on a Sub and New York Steamer. My boyfriend really likes the meatball sub and the beef brisket.  We go here pretty frequently. Now I am craving it again...need to go soon...

I first walked into the place becuase I had hear about their super cool soda machine. But when you buy a pop you must buy a sandwich and so I did... Best decision of my life!
I had the beef brisket! Sooo delicious! There are no words to describe how good it was! I just suggest  that everyone goes and gets one!!

I liked them when they first opened in Avon, but once they got their fancy Coke fountain, I told them their mixture was off, and while they swear it isn't, there just isn't enough syrup to make it taste right. I hate it when places screw with the mixture to save a couple of pennies here and there. I guess if you like the flavors mixed into your pop, you will think their fountain is pretty cool, but it just isn't my thing. I would rather buy a bottle of Coke down at the gas station and BYOC.

On the other hand, the subs are awesome... they rival and beat some of the popular places like Penn Station and Jimmy Johns. My favorite is the #10, with two kinds of brisket... combined with mayo and their barbecue sauce, this thing is like crack cocaine on a bun. Seriously. I find myself having a difficult time stopping.

Great firehouse decor, and last time we were there, Wayne Township firefighters came in to eat, so that was kind of cool for our kids. The kids fare is actually pretty sparse, but if there was one closer to where I worked, I would be here all the time. Two TVs tuned to NFL Network also guarantee that you will have trouble listening to what your wife just said.
