  Being from out of town ( Southern California ) visiting friends in Curlew, I was clueless when they suggested this place for lunch. Was I ever surprised. It was one of the best cheeseburgers I ever had. There was only outside seating (and a little chilly for me) but between the burger and the view, the entire experience was very much worth the minor inconvenience.  My friend had the chicken strips, which looked like a split breast, and I was a little disappointed that I didn't order that. Fast food it wasn't! Would highly recommend this place, though a little difficult to get to, to anyone in the area. Thanks for a great lunch!

  I love this place! The Snack Shack is tucked into the corner of Fisherman's Cove Resort, which is located on Curlew Lake. The Shack is set outdoors on a deck that overlooks the lake, the mini marina, and the resort's brightly painted cabins. On a sunny day (or even a cold one, if you bundle up) there's no better place in the area to enjoy their old-fashioned cheese burger and basket of crisp fries. You'll feel like you've been transported back in time to a 1950's roadside burger joint. Their menu also includes grilled cheese and chicken sandwiches, and breakfast items, but I've only tried the burgers and fries (again and again). Nummy!
  
  Update 9/24/12: happy to report that the burgers are still as scrumptious as ever. Want to add that they make really good chicken nuggets (served with a ranch or barbecue dressing).
  
  Update 9/25/13: Their fried egg, bacon, and hash browns breakfast plates are mighty good.
