Excellent. We got there at about 10 am on a Sunday and only had to wait ~5 minutes or so for a table. It's definitely cramped - we were cheek-by-jowl with other tables, and it definitely chaotic. We waited some time for a server to clear our table and bring coffee and menus, and then to come by and take our order. It didn't seem like servers had specific tables; everyone kind of pitched in and did everything on an as-needed basis. However, these are minor complaints.

The food more than made up for them, too. I saw sausage patties on other diners' plates and knew I had to order them, and also wanted to try the pancakes based on other Yelpers' reviews, so I ordered the 2-2-2 combo with over-easy eggs and a side of toast (so I could also try the jam). Everything was delicious, but the sausage really stole the show for me, especially swabbed in the maple syrup. Coffee was very good too, although they could've been a titch quicker about coming around to refill it, and a glass of water would've been nice.

My partner ordered a spinach-cheddar omelette and raved about it; said it was the best omelette he's ever had. I tried a bite and decided that next time, it'd be an omelette for me. Can't wait to go back. Can't wait to bring my kids, who will devour those pancakes and the sausage.

In short, as we were leaving, I said "I think I found my new favorite breakfast place."

The food is absolutely amazing.. AMAZING. Try the pancakes or the homey sandwich - just remember to bring your own pure maple syrup if thats what you like, because otherwise you will ruin the pancakes with the corn syrup they bring you.

The service is quick, but do not expect to be given bright smiles and lots of attention. Its an in and out, quick and easy and absolutely amazingly delicious meal for relatively CHEAP!
I highly recommend this - but just to manage your expectations: don't go expecting to get 5 star service and atmosphere. The food speaks for itself.

We like to call it, "the little house" :)

I go here every Sunday morning with my old man and order a full stack, a side of scrambled, and a coffee. Yes, its cash only. Yes, its cramped. Yes, you might have to stand for half an hour until a table opens up. The food is worth every bit of it.

Amazing food. I ate everything on my plate. Everything was handmade and authentic.  The staff were really friendly and the place seemed to be on the smaller end, yet there were an impressive amount of seats in such a small space.

This place is amazing. They have, literally, the best pancakes I have ever had. You should try them with the homemade strawberry jam. The frittata is also excellent, as is everything I have tried.

It is cash only, so be prepared.

OK, I finally get it. I've been prodded by an acquaintance to go here for years, but the limited hours and the line out the door all were mental roadblocks. We took advantage of the November change in clocks to get and early start and arrived 15 minutes after their 7am opening...no wait for a table!

My wife is especially fond of breakfast sandwiches and has had her fair share. She felt Fisher's Station served the best she has ever eaten. I had the 2-2-2. Everything you've read about the pancakes is so true, light, fluffy and served with real maple syrup. I had just about given up in ordering pancakes at restaurants due to the imitation syrup so often served.

Quick service and great prices for excellent food; what's not to love! We will be back.

If you've ever been to some of the maple syrup sugar shacks in the backwoods of Quebec or northern Vermont, Food at Fishers Station will take you right back to one of them. Set in an unassuming location just off the Victor exit of 490, the charming house feels like a family-owned diner in a small New England town. You can smell the eggs and butter as soon as you get out of your car.

As others have noted, it's cash only and it's somewhat cramped. The regulars - mostly families and retired folk - seem so peculiarly comfortable, they can't possibly be anything BUT constant fixtures.

And the food. Oh, the food. The meltaway pancakes - you are advised not to get anything but the full stack - are exquisite. Swedish in style, meaning that the proportions of butter, eggs and sugar are increased at the expense of flour, these pancakes are a dangerous slippery slope of real butter and maple syrup. Literally meltaway. I'm still thinking about them. We also tried the McRick's breakfast sandwich, consisting of egg, cheese and sausage on a roll. Delicious. It was served alongside some home fries which were intelligently cooked in a large slab of fat, as evidenced by their fan-effing-tastic-ness.

The whole meal for two breakfasts, two sides and two coffees, was $18. There's something very communal here at Food at Fishers Station. The preserves are home made and dripping out from mason jars, the butter is real, the smiles are warm and the tables are worn. Restaurants that remind you of a community - without including alcohol - are hard to come by. Check it out.

It really doesn't matter what you order here - it's all homemade and delicious. Breakfast and lunch only, I go out of my way to stop in for those meals and you should too! They're not open every day, so call ahead or check the website for hours.

Food here is the best.  Pancakes are the specialty - meltaway are fantastic.  Also - try the homefries with eggs.  Delicious.  Too bad they close for the whole month of August.

AMAZING FOOD!  I never would have found this place unless I was looking for it. HIGHLY recommend!  Their jam is home made and the pancakes are made from scratch.  Home fries an eggs are great too! Oh and it's cheap!  Cash only though!

We went here on a recommendation from a co-worker, on a Sat morning around 10am.  It was rainy, so a good thing there wasn't too much of a wait, because if a long line forms you are out on the deck in the elements.

This place is CASH ONLY. Also they have limited hours--so check before you drive there.

You seat yourself as soon as a table opens up!  They are very effecient, and are right there with beverage order and soon after your meal order!

Our food was exactly as ordered and very good!  All of it is made with fresh ingredients even right down to homemade bread and jam!

I had the special 2+2+2 with a side of homefries. Pancakes, eggs and sausage.  The wife had a breakfast sandwich which she said was very tasty also.

This is a small place that the locals frequent all the time.  Unless someone was to tell you about it you never know it was there.  A great find!

Home cooking goodness made by a trained chef for a good price. Somewhat of a diner/hole in the wall feel - small space and cash only, but good flavor and prompt serving.

Best breakfast in the Rochester area.  But first, you should know a few things:

    1) CASH ONLY
    2) Limited hours--so check before you drive out there
    3) Seat yourself as soon as a table opens up, and be ready to order ASAP

The service may seem terse, but in fact, it is efficient and accurate: the servers make sure everything you receive is cooked the way you ordered it.  Before I had even noticed that my eggs were overcooked, the server had whisked it away and brought me two new ones.

Every ingredient is fresh.  The pancakes melt in your mouth, and the eggs have bright, rich yolks.  The ham was surprisingly delicious.  I also recommend the toast and homemade preserves.  I've never had anything there that I didn't like.  And after a few visits, the servers get friendlier too, and you start to notice pockets of regulars.

Lunch was less crowded, and was also delicious--the black-bottom banana pie was a highlight for me--but if you could only eat one meal here, make it breakfast!

Yankee pot roast is AWESOME! melts in your mouth...ummm ummm. This is home cookin' in a 'lil hole in the wall, mom and pop's place.  Too bad they're only open 3 days a week and only serves breakfast and lunch :(.  This place gets pretty crowded so you might need to call ahead.

I ate lunch at Fisher's Station with a friend on a weekday in late 1/05.  After a few previous failed attempts to try their bread pudding (they only make one pan of it each day), my friend called ahead and reserved two helpings.  It was absolutely *delicious*; a real treat!  We first had one of their daily specials (also delicious, and a good deal [the coffee was good, too]).  Even on a snowy day, the place filled up - and the service was also good (it's a husband and wife ownership.  The wife was our waitress and the husband works behind the counter).  Fisher's Station is located just off the Victor exit of the NY Thruway and it's a far superior alternative to chain restaurants (note that their hours are restrictive:  11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays & Thursdays, 7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Fridays, 7:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Saturdays and 7:00 a.m.-noon on Sundays).  They're closed on Mondays & Tuesdays and it's *cash only*.
