Took my mother in-law there for her birthday lunch. Tried the crab cakes and spinach fritters for appetizers. Fish and chips for me and mom in-law. Bouillabaisse for the wife. Very good all around. Great service. Only gripe is help hanging around bitching about personal problems at the back bar. Not cheap but pretty close to first class.  I dig it!

After touring a few wineries we stopped at Fitzgerald's for dinner.  We sat at the bar and were taken care of by George, great service! The food was excellent! Couldn't have asked for a better meal and felt like family while we were there! We will be back!!

We like to start our Friday evenings at the bar with the ever-charming bartender, Pedro. He makes a beautiful and tasty Cosmo. We and our guests have enjoyed every meal. I favor the crab cake and Argentina spinach fritters. My husband says "you can't go wrong--everything on their eclectic menu is very good." Pedro recommends reservations during the summer months. Please enjoy!

Awful customer service.  I will never return nor recommend ever again.

I used to advocate and send tourists here - sadly was treated terribly on our last visit.
It was my birthday weekend (St. Patrick's), my parents were in town so we thought we could go to an Irish pub.  Sounds great, right?  Wrong...first of all, it was Jazz night.. (confused? me too)  Our male service was rude and acted like we were an imposition.  The food was overpriced for portion size and nothing special.  Even though the music was playing and we were still eating, the staff felt the need to put the chairs up on all the tables around us.  Sorry, as a former server, that is a No-No!  To make people feeling rushed - RUDE!!

The worst part is we were a party of 6 and had 2 joiners.  When we got home realized we were gratuitied (the 6) and the 2 weren't.  At an 18% - would've been nice if the waiter had informed us as we tipped on top of the total so he walked away with a 50% tip!  I've been a server and that is just wrong and shady.  He didn't even deserve the 18%.
My Mom was VERY upset.  I called and the lady on the phone told me to send an email to the owner, they would refund her card and "No harm done."  Mom emailed and they NEVER replied.

This is a serious case of poor customer service on the part of our server, the girl on the phone, and the owners.  It makes me sad because I had previously enjoyed light lunch in the courtyard and have sent COUNTLESS tourists there.  I tend to be understanding, coming from this industry.  This is unacceptable.  Shame on Fitzgerald's.

Amazing food. Great little spot... Totally overlooked bc of the brew house next door.

Conveniently located right off of the I-94 exit, Fitzgerald's is the perfect alternative to the usual rest stop on much a traveled route with its welcoming service, whimsical ambiance referencing the famous author's jazzy time period and surprisingly fresh food.

For the past five years since my husband and I moved from East Lansing/metro Detroit to the Chicago area, we have had to make the trip down memory lane more than once - figuratively and literally. In those years (mostly B.Y. - Before Yelp), we'd often dine at either generic fast food joints near an exit, or take our chances at restaurants advertising along the freeway. In this time, we have learned valuable life lessons - 1) Never eat fish from a diner that doubles as a gas station; 2) Even though the  billboards describe easy/fast directions, the drive could nearly double the estimate with all the unfamiliar twists and turns on rural roads; and 3) Quality restaurants actually do exist for commuters...

We honestly had unknowingly passed this place many times when we would fill up our tank at the station down the road. So when we started Yelping more, my husband and I had to try this place (along with Green Bush brewery next door). We've ordered the crab cakes here more than once and have agreed that these are some of the best we've ever had. The size is generous and the fork-tender chunks of crab with very little filler and a just-right crisp exterior make them irresistible. I've had other dishes such as the bouillabaisse (love the mountain of shell fish in the flavorful broth) and the Pork Ribs Provence with hits smoked, herby dry rub and tangy BBQ sauce for dipping. To complement the food, the menu boasts Michigan craft beers and wines from nearby breweries and wineries.

The major downside is the pricier menu, so we only patronize this restaurant when we know we want to take our time with our meal.

Great place, good service and overall good food. Jim, our bartender/server (not the owner Jim) was really great. The bloody Mary I had was very good with homemade mix. The hevverviesen beer was also good. My entree, steak and frites, was really top notch. The ONLY reason I am giving 4 and not 5 stars is the fact that our other meal, the half chicken, was so incredibly dry it was almost indelible. The corn and sweet potato hash were also top notch. We will definitely go back!

Great place next to Greenbush Brewing.  I sat at the bar and enjoyed a delicious heirloom tomato and sirloin chili, a Greenbush Sunspot hefeweizen, and great conversation with a chef/foodie that lives in the area.  I will be back when passing through on nearby I-94.

As always, I like the location and the resturant itself. Tonight the chicken was NOT awsome. It was last time. Well seasoned but too dry tonight. The calamari was fine. The steak frites was about average. The fish and chips were above average. But overall, when the chicken is good it is awsome and they missed tonight so only 3 stars.

There's really no where to start with how crappy this place was. Let it be known, we had another diner with our group post a negative review which is mysteriously gone. May be why there's so many stars. Anyway, we sat outside and were treated to a tiny menu of approximately 6 entree choices. The waitress was apathetic and could not have cared less about us. By the time she arrived, we had to do the old "Order drinks, apps, and entrees at once" move in order to maximize her presence. She didn't know the fish of of the day (which is one of the staggering 6 choices), and had to consult with the chef. The other diners I was with ordered the shrimp ceviche as an app, which unceremoniously came in a martini glass with no bread, crackers, plates, or anything else to eat it with. One of my party actually went and bought chips to eat it with. The staff said nothing upon seeing a back of chips on the table. When asked, the waitress said, "sorry, we don't have any bread", but didn't tell us that when we ordered it. The ceviche was watery and gross by the way. When our entrees finally arrived, she couldn't remember who ordered what. (Again, 4 people at our table, two of which ordered the same thing.) Everything, I mean EVERY entree was dry and flavorless. Somehow the lemon chicken was dry. The worst offender was the poor guy that got fish, that was supposed to be Ahi Tuna but looked like a flattened pork chop. His fish was dry as beef jerky, utterly tasteless. And the sides? Well, first, every entree, no matter what, had the same side: small heirloom potatoes and "vegetables". The potatoes were completely raw for all four of us. When confronted, the waitress again went and asked the chef. She defended it by saying they're supposed to be that way! Ok? You must be in cahoots with the local dentist then. We asked for our check right after that, absolutely disgusted with everything. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told they had no manager. I guess that makes sense. This place was a joke. Overpriced, bland, bad service, pretty much bad marks on everything. And to not even give any of us the time of day is always the ultimate slap in the face. Avoid at all costs.

Wife and I ate here twice last year and once this year as we celebrated our anniversary. The service is attentive and friendly, the vibe is great, and the food is very good!

My wife ordered the crab cake entree and I had the burger with blue cheese. Both were expertly prepared and delicious. The fries are really really good.

They serve some of Greenbush brewery's beers on tap and have a good drink list. I look forward to coming to Sawyer, partly to eat at Fitzgeralds.

They have a lovely patio area but it had cooled at night so we ate inside.

we stopped in after drinking at greenbush, and i think that may be the only reason people come here.

food is okay, atmosphere is cute (a little patio if it's nice out!), and staff is nice and friendly. i had the mac and cheese which came out cold and lacked flavor...and the other dishes did not look too tasty either. it's great for the area and price, but nothing to write home about.

Great local pub and resturant.  More upscale than a bar and grill, but still comfortable.  Had a very nice dinner there on a Friday evening.  Had the bouillabaisse, it was good.  The seafood was fresh, and very tastey.  The broth needed a little more seasoning.  I would go back.

Food: 3/5. Service: 4/5.  For the only restaurant in Sawyer, it's not bad.  Good service, cool space, but the food is lacklaster and expensive.

I had heard a lot about this place and read some really good reviews on here so we decided to check it out.  I started out with the Calimari.  It was pan fried and just didn't really do much for me.  I've had a lot better.   For Dinner I had the Ribs and the Wife had their Cassoulet special.  The Ribs were okay.  I found them to be overly seasoned myself.   The Cassoulet wasn't bad but it wasn't great either.   The service was good and the atmosphere was nice.  Although it was St Paddy's day and they had a Jazz band which just made me sleepy.   I might give it another shot but for the price it will probably be a while.

Are you kidding?? The prices are outrageous and the food is mediocre at best. Four of us joined 2 of our friends who already had their food and we were charged 18% gratiuity. In addition to that, we were there on St. Patricks Day and they had a jazz band! What? We will never go there again and will be letting all our friends know the same.

Today was our first visit to Fitzgerald's in Sawyer, MI.  We've made several trips to their neighbors...Greenbush Brewery and this time included a late lunch at Fitzgerald's.

The place is eclectic with a great bar and open seating area.  There is a small patio on the side that is open in warmer weather.

We were greeted immediately and selected a tall top near the bar.  We were immediately impressed with the drink menu.  One of their specialty drinks is a fresh squeezed margarita and we couldn't resist.  It was one of the best margaritas I had!  For our second round, we tried a Dark & Stormy which was an interesting mix with ginger beer.  I wanted to order a Hum Mojito, but they didn't have the fresh mint this time of year so it was recommended that I try a Hum margarita (they replaced the tequila with the Hum Botanical Rum).  WOW...it was fantastic...very fragrant with hibiscus, cardamom and ginger.

Our entrees included the house smoked pull pork sandwich ($11) with a terrific house made BBQ sauce and the sandwich of the day, a turkey reuben ($10).  Both came with hand cut french fries which are easily some of the best french fries we ever had - crisp yet tender and seasoned perfectly with salt and pepper.

Service was spot on.  The menu was small, but unique and they offer a variety of specials and themed menus.

Everything was very reasonably priced for the quality.  We had a total of four cocktails with two entrees and our total was $55 without tip.

We skipped dessert and headed next door to Greenbush to take some beer home with us.

It's often a challenge to find a lunch restaurant in this land-beyond-New Buffalo. On a recent jaunt to Harbor Country, we were happy to find Fitzgerald's, which is open for lunch and dinner everyday. The setting is casual and comfortable with both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a full bar which you can belly up to, and bar tables with those adult high chairs. The menu is very upscale casual with fresh soups, salads and pasta dishes. Burgers, ribs and other specials, too. We all opted for the light choices of salads and soup. And one Croque Monsieur for the Greek chap. The food was fresh and delicious and the grilled salmon salad surpisingly fresh. No fishy taste. Cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. The service was very friendly and gracious. Prices are about what you'd expect in a resort area. But everything well worth the price. Dancing there on Saturday night, too. Woo-hoo! Can't wait to come back here on my next escape to Pure Michigan!

Love this place. Stopped in last summer while vacationing in the area and have been back at least 6 times. Great friendly staff. It's a small town, but the decor inside is surprising in that it makes you think you are in a real nice Chicago restaurant/lounge. Fantastic menu, food, and the by far the best ribs I've ever had. They have a special dry rub spice blend on them that makes the bbq sauce on the side optional. We mostly ate them without the sauce because they were that good. Top shelf bar that also has a lot of craft beers, including beer from the new brewery that just opened next door, the Green Bush Brewery. Fitzgerald's is so welcoming and a diverse crowd. Everyone feels welcome and comfortable.

Fitzgerald's calls itself a European-style gastro pub. I ate there, with five other people, and I still have no idea what a European-style gastro pub is. I think it is a lot of words to describe a bar and restaurant combo. If I were writing a review (hey! I am!), I'd encapsulate all that into, Good Bar Food. Period. And really, when you want basic, uncomplicated food that you recognize, and tastes good, isn't bar food what you want?

Six people, ages 21 to 58, and we were hungry, hungry. We had:
    *  Fish and Chips
    * Three people had burgers
    * Seasonal Michigan Vegetable Salad
    * Grilled Salmon

Let me make this simple, Friends. Everything was good. We got all the food delivered together, in a reasonable amount of time. The waitress was smart enough to ensure we had plenty of condiments BEFORE the food arrived! Our soft drinks got refilled regularly. Those who had coffee got warm-ups regularly.

The portions are pretty big. I ordered the salad, and it was delicious, and just enough for me. Others brought some salmon and burgers.

The only thing that didn't satisfy was the cole slaw. Most of the folks I were with had an aversion to cole slaw. I said, give it to me, I enjoy cole slaw. Well, I did eat it, but there was a pretty strong taste of vinegar. That could be toned down a bit.

Can't tell you a darn thing about the alcohol. We were taking it easy. Even me.

Recommended. I'd go there again, and I'd be comfortable dragging others with me, as well. Again, I would never describe this as gourmet food. It's good, solid, American comfort food. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

So disappointed! We are new to the area here in SW MI and read all the reviews here on Yelp, so we went to Fitzgerald for dinner this evening.

We arrived and were promptly seated (wife, son and I). The host brought water and our waitress came to take our drink order. But it went down hill from there. It took over 10 minutes for our drink order to arrive. When our waitress arrived with the drinks she took our order. The special for my wife (alligator) and the bacon wrapped meatloaf with a side order of fries for my son and I. We also wanted to order the spinach fritters as an appetizer, but they were out. Half time just stated on the VCU vs Butler and all was looking good. The waitress stopped by at the beginning of the second half to drop off bread and butter. About mid way thru the game she stopped by again to give an apology for the food being late, said it should be up shortly.  By the end of the game still no food, but 2 other tables that came in after us had already been served their appetizers and main courses.  My wife went to the bar and asked to see the manager.  She took plenty of time to arrive.  By this time we had the coat on the boy and were going to leave.  This is when the waitress finally showed with our dinners and the manager showed up.  The boy and I left and my wife talked with the manager.   The manager did comp our drinks and stated that next time we came in it would be on them, but I wonder how serious this was she made no attemp to get our names or contact information.

Maybe it was an off night, but I can count on 1 hand the number of times our waitress stopped by in the 1hr and 22 minutes we were at Fitzgeralds.  The menu and reviews is what brought us, but the service is what will keep us away.

The Yelp community seems to be loving Fitzgerald's this summer. As traffic dragged from Chicago through Harbor Country, we arrived ambitious, starving, and indecisive about the next step - bike ride in one of the many state parks? putt putt & bumper cars? park the butts for beer and burgers? The iPhone wifi was acting up, so we didn't have the benefit of GPS and Yelp until we exited. Luckily, Fitzgerald's was right off the exit with great reviews vouching for it. We ate inside the bar because it was a little too chilly to eat out on the patio. Cool indie music, Big Ten football on the bar flat screens, and Golden Age Hollywood movies on the flatscreen just off the bar.

We split the spinach fritters (tasty spinach patties based on an Argentine recipe flanked with holandaise) and the Fitz cheeseburger and fries. The rhubarb and cream pie was to-die-for, as well. Food is a solid step above pub fare and is super comforting. Great selection of craft brews and drafts - Magic Hat, Founder's Dirty Bastard, Three Floyd's Gumball, Stella, Fat Tire, Guinness - and only $6 for 22 oz of draft beer?! Fitzgerald's has laidback charm along with satisfying grub and brews.

We did get our bike ride in after dinner. Downtown Sawyer, MI is right off the interstate, but quickly establishes its sweet, small town vibe with quiet roads and rolling hills alongside local vineyards. Cycling in Sawyer is reminiscent of carefree childhood rides on country roads - a time before helmets, hit and runs, long commutes, and repetitive motion syndrome.

I've lived in Arizona since 1984. But being born in Kalamazoo and with family in St Joe, we get back to my roots multiple times per year. As wonderful as dinner at home on the bluff with family is, we're all up for exploring all the nearby towns and their local gems. Fitzgeralds is one of those gems.

It's very refreshing to find a place around here in a tiny little hamlet that doesn't just try to cater to the same crowd that seeks out Chili's or TGIF.

    Highlights:
    - a cool music mix that the older crowd won't recognize or be disturbed by, but the younger crowd will cock their head and go "hey... that's sonic youth, whoah, grizzly bear. cool! old smiths tunes :)"

    - delicious dishes made with real animal parts, like chicken with actual bones and dark meat. pasta made with the cutest of rabbits (they must be cute cuz they're so delicious).

    - the burgers rule. when you ask for rare or medium rare you get it. the steak frites is fantastic.

    - waitresses who are still there when you come back months later. and they recognize you and your little baby from that one visit months ago.

    - a cute little patio that allows you to feed while mosquitoes feed on you.

    - and OMG GAYS. there are gays in small town michigan? and they're welcome? yay!

Fitzgerald's is one of those oases that are unexpected and overly welcome in  sea of so-so diners and invasive, mediocre chains. You have to applaud the idea, the effort and the results.

Would it be a 5-star in NYC or another major metro full of options? No. But in context, I have to give them 5 stars for doing a great job of bringing real food to a town of 2600 souls, and their random guests, who would otherwise be settling solely for low-budget dives (nothing really wrong with that for what it is) or chains.

    Keep on keepin on!

Picked Fitzgerald's after another restaurant in the area was closed for lunch.  And after our meal, we were glad the other was closed!

The burger was one of the best I have ever tasted.  The curry coleslaw was amazing.  Grilled portobello ciabatta sandwich was excellent.

Good service and a cool atmosphere.  Highly recommend!!

I spend the night in Sawyer, MI while enroute to Grand Rapids with my daughter, she will be starting class at Michigan State University next week. We had dinner at Fitzgeralds since it was a short walk from the hotel. I was very impressed with the ambiance, casual yet hip. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was well described on the menu and lived up to our expectations. There is a decent wine list with wines from France and the Napa Valley. Being from Northern California, I am probably a wine snob but these are decent wines. A jazz trio performed while we ate, the female vocalist was terrific. This is a place that I will definitely return to.

    yum yum yum!

Stopped by Fitzgerald's in New Buffalo for a mini vacay weekend with the family.
The establishment definitely gives off the great neighborhood feel, but doesn't make you feel like an outsider when you come in from out of town.

Our service was fantastic and the menu had a little bit of everything.

I got the smoked salmon appetizer which was very well seasoned and then finished off with the Salad Nicoise which was super filling. Their vegetable medley looked colorful and amazing as well as the rabbit special which a type of dijon mustard coated pasta.

Others got the crabcakes which were perfect--all crab meat, barely any extra fried-ness you get at other places.
Steak pomme frites looked great, how can you go wrong?

Ice cream, brownie, and the toffee pudding concluded the meal leaving me stuffed but not hurting. When in NB, def make a reservation here!

We went to Fitzgeralds over Labor Day weekend due to our late arrival in southern Michigan and their 11pm kicthen closing hour.  We won't make this mistake again.  The decor was cheesy as it gets (who needs a 10 foot poster of a naked, ugly fat girl on the wall?).  This isn't a restaurant, it's a bar with over-priced food.  Loud music and drunk patrons isn't much of an atmosphere.  The 'dude' that took our order was spaced out.  Maybe we should have ordered a few doobs instead.  I'm not blaming him, but the food was less than average with ridculously expensive prices.  There was an equal amount of  smashed people in the outdoor seating area.  Folks, this isn't a restaurant.  It's a cheesy bar that belongs in Chicago's southside or perhaps in New Orleans midtown except that their food would be vastly superior.

Too bad we found this place near the end of our week-long stay.  We would have definitely eaten there more than once.

As others have alluded, best not to bring the kids here for dinner.  IMO it's just not that kind of place.  Definitely bring your significant other to enjoy free jazz on Thursday night however.  You just might be tempted to blow your whole evening there.  So what else do you have to do while on vacation?

Fitzgerald's is a unique little find in the small town of Sawyer, MI with a unique twist to a seemingly ordinary offering. Worth a visit!

At first glance the menu offering wasn't anything that unusual sounding but upon ordering I was pleasantly surprised. I had BBQ Pulled Pork on a kaiser bun with coleslaw. Seamed ordinary enough. But what I received was a fresh twist on the classic American dish. The BBQ sauce was sweet and citrus based with a nice spice. The coleslaw was curried with raisins. It was so good and such a surprise to find.

For those who stay past sundown on the weekends, Fitzgerald's transforms into a hot spot for the area's GLBT community and vacationers to come and dance their cares away.

To anyone from Chicago --- Fitzgerald's is a sister establishment to Berlin Tavern in Boytown.

I should start by saying that this place is not the most family-friendly place.  That said, we had a very good meal and the kids were fairly patient.  Fitzgerald's has live music and a very unique/eccentric atmosphere.

The burgers are above average, tasty french fries and a very interesting turkey reuben.  The mac and cheese was good but not what the kids were hoping for so the adults at the table enjoyed it.  The calamari was excellent!

I could see leaving the kids at home with a babysitter and hanging out there on a Friday/Saturday night.

Very cool, classy restaurant in downtown Sawyer, MI.  Sure, downtown  Sawyer isn't really that happening, but this place really surprised me.  Fitzgerald's is a great mix between standard pub and upscale cuisine.  I really liked the mix, especially since they weren't overly pretentious about it.

When we arrived, we waited a bit for a table because the kitchen needed to "catch up."  I was glad to know that they had a small kitchen staff working on creating really good food rather than putting something out as quickly as possible and skimping on quality.  Their special of the evening was a selection of game - that evening it happened to be Buffalo au poivre.  It definitely sounded interesting and I thought it was great that they offered such a unique selection for a pub.

They had a nice selection of local and international craft brews as well as a nice list of local wines and cocktails.  Sitting at the bar, my only complaint was that they weren't showing any kind of sporting event on the one, lone TV in the corner of the restaurant.  I think they were trying to create a "mood" by showing some old silent movies, but it is a pub after all and there was a really good Michigan game going on.

Once we were seated, we had a nice server and our orders were taken in a timely manner.  I ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf which is described on the website as: Our holy trio of pork, beef and lamb are ground here to render a moist and rich loaf.
It's served with a Mushroom marsala gravy, the mash and green beans.  It was definitely delicious, especially with that yummy bacon flavor.

My boyfriend ordered the Wild Mushroom Ravioli and he really enjoyed it.  We had a few nice beers with our dinner and everything was really, really tasty and worth the time it took to prepare.  Fitzgerald's definitely has an interesting menu and, being a true "gastro-pub", they also have a selection of pub foods for those that aren't in the mood for a traditional dinner entree.  I highly recommend stopping here for a great dinner with family or friends - definitely worth every penny.

Fitzgerald's has fast become one of our favorite restaurants. The hangar steak and frites is heavenly and never disappoints. We've taken our families to Fitzgerald's as well as business associates. The value is outstanding - a dinner for three adults with a bottle of wine was under $100 (with tip) and that included rack of lamb. Try the sticky bread pudding and you'll only want bread pudding from Fitzgerald's.

The unique atmosphere is casual with upscale food.

The outside and inside are very different from eachother.  You think you're about to walk in to another small town bar, but you walk into a very casual but classy place!  What was supposed to be an hour of just drinks after dinner turned into almost  hours of tasting the bartender's various concoctions, having him school us on "good gin," having one of the best crab cakes ever (seriously), and people-watching as the dancing started and drew a different crowd than we expected.  Hilarious place, you'll have a good time.  Go here around 9:30 and grab a seat.

I was impressed with Fitzgerald's the minute I walked in.  The classy, yet relaxed environment took me by surprise.  The decor was elegant, but the atmosphere relaxed.  The waitstaff greeted us with a smile and were very polite.  There was no wait for a table since we arrived early. They imformed us of what the specials were and what we could expect to find only this time of the year and what was in season as far as fruits and veggies.  Ah...service with a smile.  Can't put a price on that.
I ordered the portablella mushroom sandwich and paired it with a beer from a local brewery.  Excellent combination.  The cibatta roll was probably the best I've ever had.  And the fresh herbs and mozarella...dee-lish! I've spent many a night dreaming of that sandwich and hope to return before summer's end.
If you're ever in that neck of the woods...do yourself a favor...stop into Fitzgerald's!

This was a great place to hang out. They people are very friendly and the bar keep, Calie was a hoot. She was very accommodating. The drinks were spot on. Very casual atmosphere. The food was really good. If they got rid of that fish smell when you walked in the door, it would be a lot more appetizing. The turkey/pork was out of this world. I ordered the pork on her recommendation, and it turned out to be turkey? I also ordered the mac and cheese. You can pass on that. The only disturbing thing about this place was the wombat they let loose in the back. She was a cross between pippy long stocking and a shaved gorilla. I guess if you spend enough time clawing at the hatch, it's going to come unhinged.

Not a bad place clean nice atmosphere. Large bar old movies playing when we arrived My Fair Lady was on then they switched to Singing in the Rain. Calie our bartender  was great made for lots of fun as well as the other patrons. She said martini's are her speciality. So I ordered one up, she gave me Tuscan Sun I cannot remember what was in it but I proceded to down 4 of them very good. My friend wanted a jack sour and she realized he was thirsty and served up an extra large glass, it was also very good. they make their own sour mix. After downing a couple of these on empty stomachs, my friend looked across the bar and freaked saying who let out the gorilla. It just happened to be the beauty challenged cook. I know she heard him as well as everyone at the bar who thought the same thing.

Even after seeing this we felt the need for food. We ordered 2 pub lunches that we were told were pork. I guess in Michigan pork and turkey are the same (ooops). It was good. others had chicken salad sandwich and portobelo sandwich they like them. They do offer quite a few different items. It is a nice find and we will go back next time we are there.

The renovations of this neighborhood bar really did the trick.   The new atmosphere is a much needed addition to downtown Sawyer.

The lunch did not suprise me, it was nothing spectacular except for the soup.   What was billed as a garlic pea soup that we expected to come out green was actually a white cream based soup with peas in it, not a green split pea soup we're accustomed to.   With relief.

The menu is simple and you should try lunch or dinner here - see what you think.
