First visit to Greenbush Brewery took place after a long day of hiking the Indiana Dunes. Even cold bongwater would've tasted good that hot day, and I thank Yelper Dan G. for the reco. Having had Greenbush beers before and since this visit, a visit to the Brewery/Tap room is highly recommended.
There's not much space at Greenbush, but there are a few hightops, communal tables, or belly up to the bar. Our waitress was nice- although not the best with the beer descriptors. When asked about a certain type of beer I had never heard of (let's just use IPA as an example) she replied back with "I don't know...it's like an IPA!" Kind of hard to read the chalkboard of beers all the way from the tables, I recommend having a printed menu of the daily beer selection with descriptors. That would also help with the Adjective-less Waitress. We did get to taste test the beer in question, so there's that.
We really enjoyed our sandwiches and brews. My friend had the turkey melt, but my roast beef on homemade ciabatta was the star. It was so good. Had the Retribution and also the UFOnation IPA. Both great brews. They have a nice variety of 4-packs to go at bargain prices. I took home the Brother Benjamin, and wow, what a great beer!
Greenbush Brewery in Sawyer is definitely on my radar, I'm a fan!
