Been to the Five Chairs many times as we pass through the area a few times a year.
Wonderful sandwiches (seriously, and when they say they're big, they mean it) and superior selection of beer and drinks.
I've gotten sandwiches here at all hours, they make them very fast and they really are that good. If you're out for a bar, it's a great bar - there are no kids after 9pm (though I guess that's something of a given) - it seems a good portion of the people at the bar know each other at all times, and there is ALWAYS a group of friendly people to socialize with.
If it's a bar or sandwiches or an afternoon lunch place (especially after skiing) you're looking for, head to the chairs.
A little hole in the wall with mostly sandwiches. Â I had the Italian Grinder, and it was decent, but nothing out of the ordinary or fantastic. Â When they say overstuffed, they really mean it. Â My mom had a roast beef on rye and I think there was about 2 pounds of meat on it. Â This is an okay place if you are craving a sandwich, but I have had better.
