I was REALLY hungry so I figured order the "Hungry Man" which boasted pancakes, French toast, 2 eggs, and an assortment if breakfast meat. Sounds huge and awesome!
My hubby ordered 2 eggs with pancakes. I was done with mine before he had even finished his cakes. My entree came with one pancake, cut in half and one French toast. It was tiny for the 7.95 price tag. I think they called it Hungry Man because it leaves you hungry still.
I'm not a huge fat-ass who eats a ton of food, so to leave hungry is surprising. Disappointed.
The wait staff was great. Terrific on the refills of soda. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Might try again but would probably just go elsewhere similar. Nothing really unique here, just another pancake joint.
Simple, inexpensive, and tasty comfort food - I'd say it's the best breakfast place in a 20 mile radius and is right up there with the best I've had in all of Indianapolis.
If you're on the west side of Indy, you owe it to yourself to swing in. The pancakes are exceptional and the corned beef hash is pretty good too. Â Portions are substantial and you're not likely to leave while still hungry. The coffee is nothing to get excited about but they do have a wide variety of flavored creamers on each table for you to doctor it up if that's your style.
This location is extremely clean and friendly. Just be aware that even though it says it's located in Avon, it's pretty far west and is really closer to Danville. At any rate, I'm a big fan of this Flap Jacks location!
