I came here with my coworkers during *Happy Hour*, and was it a good suggestion. Because honestly, on a Friday afternoon, week is done and it is time to relax! So, you must be asking yourself... Flemings? For Happy Hour? And yes, you heard right. We sat outside, as inside was a little too dark for us and considering outside was bright and sunny why not enjoy it? Plus, we've been sitting inside all day! They have about 5 or 6 tables outside, where as inside they have a short bar and a few booths for happy hour.
So lets get to the prices for Happy Hour: $3 beers, $6 cocktails (and I believe wines as well) , and an awesome $6 burger. This was my dinner. I was told that their burger was very good, and at first I wasn't so sure considering that it is a Steakhouse. Anyways lets get to the burger. It's not your typical beef hamburger. It's made with steak, so that automatically gives it something to try out. And at $6, why wouldn't you?!
I asked the server what to have on the burger (in regards of condiments), and she told me that it depended on the cheese. I got the american Cheddar, my companions got Cheddar and Bleu Cheese. She told me that it would be good with both mayonaise and ketchup, but when I took that first bite into that burger... I honestly don't think any condiments were needed. There was enough flavor in the patty in itself to justify it. I also thought that the cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and bacon did really well to compliment the patty.
Next time I come I'll definitely try it with the condiments, but I won't be surprised to say that it wouldn't live up to that just plain patty with nothing else to make it better. It could possibly make it worse, but who knows until I try.
The service was good. Our server was very nice (and had some really red lipstick, but that's beside the point) I was a little confused on the whole 2 beers for $6, I was thinking that if you had 1 beer, then you should get the other one for free considering it was $6 once you get the first one. I was told that beers wasn't really a 2 for $6, rather it was a 1 for $3. So, you could technically get an odd amount of beers and still be okay.
I'll definitely be back for happy hour if I have a craving for a burger.
Though a chain, it is absolutely, hands down, the best restaurant I have ever been to. Â I have been to multiple locations and they all deliver the same excellent quality food and service I have come to expect from a high end restaurant. Â I have been to many similar restaurants, chain and non- chain, but they all fall short to this great place.
