I came here with my coworkers during *Happy Hour*, and was it a good suggestion. Because honestly, on a Friday afternoon, week is done and it is time to relax! So, you must be asking yourself... Flemings? For Happy Hour? And yes, you heard right. We sat outside, as inside was a little too dark for us and considering outside was bright and sunny why not enjoy it? Plus, we've been sitting inside all day! They have about 5 or 6 tables outside, where as inside they have a short bar and a few booths for happy hour.
So lets get to the prices for Happy Hour: $3 beers, $6 cocktails (and I believe wines as well) , and an awesome $6 burger. This was my dinner. I was told that their burger was very good, and at first I wasn't so sure considering that it is a Steakhouse. Anyways lets get to the burger. It's not your typical beef hamburger. It's made with steak, so that automatically gives it something to try out. And at $6, why wouldn't you?!
I asked the server what to have on the burger (in regards of condiments), and she told me that it depended on the cheese. I got the american Cheddar, my companions got Cheddar and Bleu Cheese. She told me that it would be good with both mayonaise and ketchup, but when I took that first bite into that burger... I honestly don't think any condiments were needed. There was enough flavor in the patty in itself to justify it. I also thought that the cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and bacon did really well to compliment the patty.
Next time I come I'll definitely try it with the condiments, but I won't be surprised to say that it wouldn't live up to that just plain patty with nothing else to make it better. It could possibly make it worse, but who knows until I try.
The service was good. Our server was very nice (and had some really red lipstick, but that's beside the point) I was a little confused on the whole 2 beers for $6, I was thinking that if you had 1 beer, then you should get the other one for free considering it was $6 once you get the first one. I was told that beers wasn't really a 2 for $6, rather it was a 1 for $3. So, you could technically get an odd amount of beers and still be okay.
I'll definitely be back for happy hour if I have a craving for a burger.
Though a chain, it is absolutely, hands down, the best restaurant I have ever been to. Â I have been to multiple locations and they all deliver the same excellent quality food and service I have come to expect from a high end restaurant. Â I have been to many similar restaurants, chain and non- chain, but they all fall short to this great place.
Review Source:I do love the Tempora Lobster Tails...but this is the 2nd time my steak has not been cooked right. Â Heck this time they didn't even give me or my brother the steak we ordered...after 15 minutes I finally got a waiters attention who got the manager...he offered to bring some sauce for the steak...that's it. Â What a joke. Â On a $600 dollar dinner that's the level of service...Denny's has better management and cooks. Â Next time I'll just go to Connors.
Review Source:The food was great but clearly overpriced even for the quality. The server was an idiot...a slow idiot. When I was there I saw the manager arguing with a customer who was speaking to him politely. I have never seen something so blatantly disrespectful and unprofessional from a restaurant manager as the display I witnessed there. I won't be going back, they by no means corner the market for fine dining in knoxville.
Review Source:Our first visit to the Fleming's in Knoxville (Turkey Creek) was a disappointment. After having a great meal with superior service at one of the chain's Atlanta area locations, we were hoping for a similar experience closer to home. Wrong. The high quality food was overshadowed by completely inept service. Servers were polite enough but absolutely clueless as to what is generally expected at that price point. Training, training, training. The next time I want comparable food, I will go to Ruth's Chris for superior service and wine selection.
Review Source:This was our first time eating at Flemings... and will be our last... we only ate there because the sent us a $50 gift card in the mail.. I have no ideal how they got my name and address... anyways... we went, I was put off first by the fakey, fake ass kissing the staff... we ordered a bottle of bubbles (which was triple priced) and a appetizer... and it was so bad.... how the heck can you mess up boiled seafood??? I'll tell you, you cook it, then freeze it... for way to long... then serve it with a bland cocktail sauce that taste a bit like tin and some kind of nasty mayo sauce... for $47 dollars I expected much much more for this appetizer. I expected fresh tasting seafood and more effort put into the sauces. I actually can't believe people like it here... such below average food for so much money... Â there was so little effort put into this and it was so bad I don't think they have a real chef I think they must have line cooks...
After that there was NO way I would try an entree.. we went to Chez Liberty and had a wonderful FRESH meal that was prepared with effort and had genuine good service.
Avoid this place if you have good taste buds..
My mom and dad live in Knoxville and we go to Flemings each year on Christmas Eve. It is a wonderful yearly tradition.
It is a great place to celebrate and enjoy a quality meal together. The service is always professional. The food, simply delicious. I recommend the steak (of course), Flemings potatoes, and the Godiva desert. Be sure to have some wine with your steak...and take your time.
If you've never been to Fleming's before, it's a fine dining steakhouse. They are the upmarket steakhouse arm of the same restaurant group that owns Bonefish Grill, P.F. (Paul Fleming) Chang's, Carraba's, Outback Steakhouse, and Pei Wei.
At a restaurant of this caliber, you can expect outstanding service and food. Steaks are done to perfection and the portions for sides are generous enough to share with your whole party. The wine list is extensive and Fleming's advertises that you can get 100 different wines by the glass - perfect for people afraid of commitment.
We went for a birthday while they were running a $40 prix fixe deal and had an outstanding time. The waitstaff even brought us a little box of chocolate covered strawberries to take home and savor later. It's these kinds of little touches that show that a restaurant has put a lot of thought into the service and execution of a great meal.
Been here twice so far and I have to say I'm not overly impressed. Don't get me wrong.....the steak is good. But if I'm going to pay $36 for a steak (and that doesn't include salad, a side, or anything) it better knock me over. Again it's good but I have to say it's not any better than the steaks I get at longhorn and I like a good steak. I don't mind throwing down some coin for a good meal but the steak here isn't worth the price in my mind. Service and atmosphere are good. Again, not bad but it doesn't blow me away.
Review Source:It really doesn't get much better than this. If you are looking for a gathering place for business coleagues, clients, or a family celebration, there is no better choice. The meats and seafood are to the nines, the wine selection is supurb, and the service is the very definition of the word. Â
This world class service in a business/casual environment will put a sting on your wallet though. Be prepared to leave $75-100 lighter in the wallet per person if you enjoy every delicious course.
Service. Â Service. Â Service. Â That's what Fleming's did really well.
Oh, and the food was great, too!
Apparently, the Knoxville location has not been open for very long, but the staff was expertly trained. Â Our waiter made some spectacular pairing recommendations for our meals. Â Fleming's has what they call 'wine flights', which are three glasses of wine, filled about half-full, that are served in a rack that resembles a flight of stairs. Â Very cool. Â I told the waiter what I was going to have for diner, and asked him to recommend a three glasses for me. Â Couldn't have worked out better (my favorite ended up being the Big Fire Pinot Noir).
While Fleming's does not have a kid's menu, they were especially accommodating for my 3 year old daughter. Â The kitchen whipped up some chicken tenders and french fries for her. Â And, when our desert came, they were nice enough to bring her a bowl of whipped cream for her to snack on.
Without a doubt, my night at Fleming's was my best experiences eating out.
