The Glacier shuttle bus driver highly recommended this place for great halibut.

We made our way over in the late afternoon for a bite to eat.

Ordered the halibut fish and chips and the clam strips with fries.  Both were excellent.  Meaty clam meat.  Fresh halibut.  And generous portions.

Hubby and I each got a beer on tap.  Sat facing the water and watched the seaplanes take off and land.

Mix of locals and tourists enjoying food and beer.

I am sure you think that most of the people sitting at the bar and reviewing this place spent time on a cruise ship the same day they visited.  Although that may be true, it doesn't take away from my positive feedback.  I was one of those "cruisers."  I had some local brew, met both friendly tourists and locals, and had a nice bite to eat.  The bar tender was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.  He even gave us a great tip on what to do next.  With limited options, I would definitely say you should check this place out.

We ate excellent fried halibut and fries on their deck overlooking the water.  Just excellent!

We had a beer tasting here as part of a bike and brew shore excursion on our cruise to Alaska.  The pours in the tasting were quite generous, and the beers were delicious.  Tom (the manager/owner who ran the tasting) was really friendly and knew a lot about the local beers.  We stayed around afterward to sample more of the local product and chat with the staff - super fun as well.

    Go here.

    Order fish and chips.

    Enjoy!!

    Nom!!!!!!

We cleared our plates and most of us wanted seconds.  Fantastic place to eat, service was great and you have an ace view of the sea planes taking off and landing.

The Flight Deck was recommended by our bus driver/tour guide Jim.  He said this was the place to go for Halibut in Juneau.  Hands down, best fish sandwich I have ever had.  The cod, the halibut, the salmon chowder (Don't Miss, #1) were outstanding.  This food truck/bar kitchen is amazing.  Thanks guys.

Watch the planes come in.  Super close to cruise ships.  Don't miss The Flight Deck.

These guys are definitely in the know for local juneau. Great location and you can get the Inside of the local brewery in town. Great stop for a beer downtown and delicious local brews.

Great food... Great menu choices, at decent prices especially for juneau! The owner is very friendly and made us feel right at home. Try the salmon chowder (probably the best Ive tried in town), the fish tacos or check out the low country 'style' seafood boil!... OH and I don't even want to get started on the Delicious shoestring fries!!! Truly up there in quality right next to Tracy's king Crab Shack... Just more options, as well as more of a Pacific Northwest Beachside Eatery feel along with great local beer on tap! As far as the food scene, Juneau has been lacking in quality as well as service and this place is deffinately helping make up for that! Just the kinda place for locals and tourists alike.

If you ever come to Juneau, you must stop here for some good beer and great service!  It's a definite "must stop" in addition to the other tourist stops in town.

My siblings, my husband, sister's boyfriend and I all went on the "Bike & Brew" excursion that day.  We ended up having a BLAST and both the Bike and the Brew parts were equally awesome.  So it was us and another couple from our ship there inside the bar and it's small and divey but perfect.  Sitting at the bar you looked out onto the water and got to see and hear the sea planes coming and going.

We got to taste many GREAT beers and we all really liked the Alaskan beers.  Luckily we can now find them here in California.  We got to do a tasting of 5 or 6 different beers and it was simply a wonderful end to a great day.  Our bartender was from Ireland and was so much fun and made the tasting relaxing.  She knew a lot about all the beers and was generous with the tastings.

This place is also within walking distance of shopping and other places to visit while in town.  Don't miss this!

We stopped here after our bike tour of Mendenhall Glacier for a beer tasting. I can't recall all the kinds we had, but the Alaskan Amber Ale was by far my favorite. It was sooo delicious. And the tastes were each about 6 oz, so I was feeling all 5 by the end! The bartender, Claire, was a really sweet girl from Ireland who really knew a lot about each beer. Its right on the water where the sea planes take off/land, so the noise level varies. Its a total dive, but from my past experiences, those are the bars I like.
