Hangar On the Wharf

This place was horrible. So we wanted a place to eat lunch and the Hangar was near by. It was super hot that day and we wanted to eat outdoors and the hangar had that option. We entered the hangar and waited for a table to be available. We asked if we could eat outside, the hostess gave us menu's but no tables were available. We then asked if a table was available by the window she told us that it was already taken. So we spotted a table that was fully set up but she had said it was also taken, "reserved!" Since I was annoyed a nice waiter had offered to give us a table since people were ready to pay. Well this gets crazy...two white girls walked in asked for a table for two...the hostess escorts them to the table we asked for. Then goes back to where she stands and looks at me and laughs with a smirk on her face. This was effed up!!! Horrible service ever! I've always been respected eating here but just cause I'm colored doesn't mean we need to get treated like this!!!

On the advice of a local, we stopped here form lunch one day.  The food was tasty, and the service was great.  Prices weren't as bad as they might have been given this is AK and it's also a cruise ship zone.  

The halibut was great - check for that if you can.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch, I had the fish and chips and my wife had the burger. Both were great.

Place was ridiculously crowded, which I imagine happens a lot during cruise season, but for the most part they handled the crowd pretty well. We had to wait a little while, but nothing too awful.

Staff was very friendly.
