I think the previous reviewers were drinking some haterade and so I'm going to have to stick up for Fortune Inn.  I have been going there for a really long time and they rock!  The staff has always been super friendly to me (doesn't hurt if you are nice to them I'm sure) and the food is delish.  Beef & Broccoli is my go to dish-- great portions with a lot of fresh, not overcooked broccoli.  I really like the egg rolls and wonton soup as well.  They also have a really good lunch deal.
I typically get carryout but I would suggest to anyone that you can feel free at any restaurant to ask to be moved to another table, especially if the restaurant isn't full.

I started eating here because it's close to where I live, even though it is far from the best Chinese food I've tasted. The chicken sometimes tastes like rubber and each meal includes a lot of cheap "filler" ingredients. Also, they want to charge $4 extra for pork rice. They don't even use fountain sodas - They buy 2-liter bottles from the grocery store next door!

It's been awhile since I've had Chinese food this bad.

It's Friday night 8pm, we've been working on the farm all day, a casual Chinese dinner out sounds great to me.  My expectations are low, I've had their carry out (so-so), anyway - the place is very quiet and (OF COURSE) they seat us next to the bathrooms....  Note to self - from this day forward I will turn & immediately walk out of any restaurant that seats me next to the bathrooms when there are more than 3 other tables available..... The service is poor. Had to ask for napkins twice after having a soup spill which went completely unnoticed before and after the napkin request. Plates from the early course were not picked up, tea was not poured nor refilled....  and then there was the food.

The food: general Tsao chicken (my husband's Chinese dinner of choice & I ordered a dinner special of Trio of Mu Shu).

Our crispy wonton chips were obviously cooked hours ago and possibly refrigerated (huh?) prior to serving. (Would you refrigerate the tortilla chips with the salsa? )The sweet/sour sauce (or was it plum sauce?) and the Chinese mustard were both insipid, watered down in color and flavor. But the chips were so bad that it just didn't matter.

The egg rolls were inedible.  They contained only stringy undercooked, unseasoned, impossible to bite through, cabbage. NOTHING ELSE. I even took one eggroll apart to see why I couldn't bite through it and looked at what was in it.   Just cabbage.

The egg drop soup was good and the wonton soup was inedible,  Again - insipid flavor, the first wonton was fine, the second had an off flavor so I stopped trying to eat it.

Now onto the main.  My Trio of Mu Shoo was big pile of brown.  No trio, no Mu Shu veggies...just cabbage with shrimp, chicken and meat (I never found any of the meat pieces - but that's OK)  pieces.  LOTS of cabbage. The sauce was like molasses and extremely sweet. The pancake wrappers were fine. Cold but fine.  General Tsao was a pretty plate.  Gorgeous steamed broccoli, a beautifully carved carrot flower on a bed of shredded cabbage.  The chicken was pretty in color but had very little flavor... no spicy heat, overly sweet and the chicken itself was dry under all that batter.

Finally I just have to mention the:  TEA.  black, bitter and tasting like cardboard.

Why would anyone go there twice??? Wendy's is in the same shopping center and you will get better service and better food for a few bucks less.....
