Located at the only stoplight in town but really worth the stop. Fish and chips and brisket sandwich were excellent. BBQ sauces have a good kick.

This was a great surprise on our way through Thermopolis.  The place doesn't look like much from the outside, as it's part of a hotel, but the food was terrific. Our family tried the pork shoulder, ribs, and the beef brisket and they were all very great.  They offered several different sauces on the side; I liked the chipotle the best.

Delicious brisket and ribs! The ribs are pork and fall-off-the-bone tender. Excellent. The beef for brisket and hamburgers is raised by the owner on their local ranch, and processed locally too. It doesn't advertise the fact that they are grass-fed local Angus, but they are! I had the brisket sandwich (on a freshly grilled bun, tasty) and it was super lean and flavorful. The baked beans were delicious too, sweet and tangy. Four types of sauces, my favorites were the sweet (somewhat spicy) and the Chipotle, a bit of a smokier spice. Very flavorful! Five stars for local meats, friendly service, tasty sides.

Kids menu too - the munchkin had fish and chips. Quite good, two pieces of cod (I think), the batter was a bit too wet after sitting a while but she enjoyed the fish.

The name is complicated - the signs say "Happy's BBQ" or "Diner". The place shares space with the office for the Fountain of Youth Motel (same owner). The hotel was there first, hence the name Fountain Diner, featuring Happy's BBQ. It's at the only stop light in town.
