We went in for lunch at 3pm. Â It was not busy, but it was not a time of day you'd expect a place like this to be busy. Â Krista, the owner, was very attentive, able to list off the ingredients of everything we asked about (my husband has a dairy allergy). Â In fact, everything is house made, EVEN THE BUNS! Â The food was great! Â It's mostly burgers and sandwiches. Â I had a bacon/mushroom/bleu cheese burger. Â My hubby had bacon and grilled onions on his. Â The kettle chips are made from potatoes that they actually cut and fry there. Â
And the onion rings, oh, the onion rings! Â She told us that Coors beer works the best with her batter recipe. Â I believe her because they were awesome! Thick cut sweet onions with a crispy tasty batter.
For dessert (we were so full, we got dessert to go) we got a caramel roll. Â Basically it's like a cinnamon roll but a sticky brown sugar glaze instead of white frosting. Â Since she was able to tell us "only 2 tablespoons of butter in the whole big batch of dough and no milk in the glaze" we were sold. Â And it was good. Later, when we were hungry again.
