My husband and I had a fabulous early date night here a few weeks ago. We came early on a Saturday night and sat in the club-like booths which are situated around the bar and are very cozy and romantic. Fantastic pomegrante martini and wine list is great. We enjoyed the early bird specials (you can not beat the price and wine is $1 off per glass); I enjoyed the pork special with chefs sauce of the day and my husband enjoyed the chicken marsala. We would definitely come back!

Horrible horrible wait staff. Possibly the worst I ever engaged with, rude, nasty and uninformed, felt like they were doing us a favor taking our order.
Nothing good here, from the terrible free bruschetta to the side salad pre prepared and wilty, The flounder franchese smelled like tuna from the can.
    Horrible place - stay home.

LOVE their sauce. Excellent lunch menu on Saturday & Sunday. Terrific early birds. Would like a better wine selection, but overall the food is great. Very consistent & tasty. The eggplant parm is my favorite anywhere. The staff is friendly & very attentive. Probably my favorite Italian restaurant at the Shore. A must "NOT miss"...

As much as we enjoy the food at Fratello's, we won't be returning because of the poor service.  My mother-in-law and I arrived around 7pm on a Thursdsay. We waited several minutes even to be greeted by the hostess, who was nowhere to be found, and we continued to wait throughout the evening. The girl who filled our waterglasses was rude and unpleasant. It took about 10 minutes to get our drink order, asking for bread was a project, and our entrees didn't arrive until after 8pm. While our waitress was pleasant enough, she seemed to never be around. As we sat waiting for our check, we realilzed that she was hanging out by the bar, chatting with the hostess. We had to ask someone to get her so that we could pay.

This is not the first time that we've had service issues. Over the past year or so, it has gottten progressively worse. While the food kept us coming back, Thursday was the deal breaker. We won't be back.

My husband and I went here on Labor Day for dinner and will definitely not be returning.   To start with our server, Myriah, was very inattentive and rude.  Not only did she forget my husband's appetizer (clams on the half shell) and brought them out very late, they were extremely small and not worth the price we paid.  Next she had trouble understanding my husband's drink order and when the bartender asked her what he would like she yells across the restaurant, "I don't know, ask him, he's sitting right there".  Really?  Very unprofessional!  My salad had frozen with brown lettuce in it and we had to ask several times for bread.  Next came our entrees, which were both equally as inedible.  I had the Penne Capri which was supposed to be in garlic and oil, but which came out in a watery broth.  My husband had the Gnocchi with Broccoli which was supposed to be in a garlic, butter and wine sauce.  It was very greasy and not very good as all.   At the end of our meal, we asked for our bill and had to wait for at least 20 minutes while our server, stood directly behind our table complaining to another server and the hostess about other servers and other issues in the restaurant.   When we finally got our bill we left a smaller tip than we normally would have because of the extremely bad service.  A few days later we realized that a different tip amount was charged to us - a full 20% which was totally undeserved!  Both myself and my husband called to speak to the manager and the owner to rectify this.  We were promised a call back but now,  over a week later have not heard from anyone.  We will never eat there again and will advise friends and family not to as well.  Very poor, unprofessional service and terrible food.

What a great Friday night at Fratello's!

We loved the food and the entertainment (The Del Angles)!
The Chicken Valentino was fabulous!   Portions are HUGE!

    I will be back!

Really going downhill here.  Last two times took over an hour to get food.  First time the burgers were overcooked - last time the sauce in the zuppa di pesce tasted like progresso tomato soup.

    Bathrooms were disgusting.

Will definitely go back for drinks (joe & Tim kept this from being a 1 star review) but I don't see us eating here again any time soon.

I was there on a Thursday night. Clientele tended to be elderly. Food is decent (I liked my grouper).

Free bruschetta was a nice surprise.  Boyfriend had osso bucco and he thought the tomato sauce was sour and the veal shank was bland and stringy.  I had the lasagna and tomato sauce was also sour, it wasn't very good.  Ceasar salad didnt taste like ceasar salad.  The dressing was watery. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake which was topped with strawberries which looked old, cheesecake was tasteless and crumbly.  Restaurant is decorated nicely but wouldn't eat there again.

Fratelo's was ok ... but not the best and your money should probably be spent elsewhere. Tried a Thursday night and had the Penne w/  vodka sauce. A deliciious plate. Why am I not giving it 5 stars? Fratelo's decided to use cheap bagged iceburg lettuce which is extremely annoying considering the prices weren't cheap. I would hesistate to make the drive and return.

A very nicely decorated restaurant that serves excellent American food. I've been there several times and always feel cozy. They have several booths along both sides of the bar. If you manage to get seated in one these you have the feeling of being the only people there. Fratello's has a large well stocked bar frequented by a group of regulars. This is just plain a good place to eat.

Very decent Italian food and one of the best early bird dinners on the Jersey shore.  Great value in dinning.  Very lovely restaurant with the bar as the center piece which is surrounded with club type booths.

Joe and Tim make a good team and some great drinks for one and all.
Go on a Monday night and all bottles of wine are half price.  Then couple this with an early bird dinner and you have the BEST VALUE around.
