What a great find in the middle of a long highway with very little on it! Its about 1 hour north of Dallas. I wasn't expecting much, but the decor was great, and the food was good as well. I had the Catfish Yvette, which came with a side of dirty rice. It was a little bit salty, but aside from that was pretty good. Service was a bit slow, but we came at 3pm, so maybe people were prepping for dinner. Co-workers had the etouffe and said it was great. This is pretty great cajun food and was an unexpected find. The waitress was very nice and surprisingly memorized our orders (instead of writing them down). Considering that there were 5 of us, I was impressed. If I was in the area, I would try this place again.
Review Source:Dinner last night was very good. Â Had the fresh oysters. Â Plump, ice cold and very fresh. Â For dinner had the fried crawfish tails and catfish. Â Both were prepared just right. Â Still moist and served piping hot. Â The side of dirty rice was just OK though. Â The buttermilk pie was out of the world. Â Will definately keep this place on my list. Â Finally the service was fast and very attentive.
Review Source:We went on a Sunday night and service was wonderful and the food was too die for if you love cajun food. Â I highly recommend trying the catfish layfayette. Â The only reason this place gets 4 stars from me is because the bar is smoking and there's not enough distance between the restaurant and the smoking area. Â Other than that and it would have 5 stars.
