Food was well under the quality I expected for the price tag. The shrimp they use are about the size of a quarter, and very low quality.  They were the typical frozen amd tiny shrimp. i expected something way more refined. Service was quick to get my food, but after I didn't see my waiter much at all. A bus boy cleared my plate and when I finally did get the check it was taken by a manager to be processed. I would not recommend fume!

We go here to reward ourselves every couple of weeks. Parking is always difficult but the food, well namely the salmon over mashed potatoes keeps this on our destination list. Service is always attentive and the waitstaff is knowledgable about the food and the wine pairings. My one issue is being-or at least feeling that I am-somewhat penalized for dining at "happy hour" and not getting a price break on the wine during this time. I feel that we're doing them a courtesy by dining off 'peak' time and running up a eighty dollar bill before tip. Should I forego the fabulous dining and just keep my tab at $ 10 with a $ 5 buck chuck and a beer instead ?

A local semi-secret. Awesome service, great quality, affordability, and an escape from some of the wine country pretentiousness. Solid wine list. Enjoy a nice summer night out on the patio. What could be better?! Fume rocks!

Fume was packed. Service was very good.  Food was good, not great.  All be it, I have high expectations and my friends were satisfied with their meals.  I had the duck confit spring roll, which was fried, which I did not expect. The frying took any flavor away.  My husband had the roasted chicken and it was nothing special.  My friends had the in season halibut, which she said she would have again.

Wasn't too impressed with the food overall.  Our server was nice, not stellar, but nice.  We were surprised that it was this average considering the reviews on yelp, We made reservations through OpenTable for two at 2pm, and were seating in the middle of the dining room and asked to move to a better location since the place wasn't crowded.  The wine was great but it just didn't help the food.  Seriously, for the price there are much better choices in Napa.  We were just in the mood to try something new and were willing to pay for it.  Oh well.  I guess we got both our wishes.

Stopped to have a meal here at the recommendation of a relative. You can bring your own wine - there is a $10 cork fee. The ambiance is good, the staff attentive, the food very good. Parking may be a problem, but otherwise a very good experience.

Our best meal in Napa. Our waiter was friendly and great, and the food was excellent. I'd recommend the platter of local cheeses, and for an entree the braised short rib over mushroom and asparagus risotto. But save room for dessert because the trio of creme brûlées is amazing (and large enough to share).

We went there for lunch on an early sunday afternoon.  We were promptly seated and the waitress was very helpful with their specials and questions regarding their menu.  Their chicken sandwich was very tasty and the wedge salad was very large and fresh.  We ordered their jalapeno bloody mary and it was fantastic.  I would highly recommend Fume.  Remember to check in on Yelp for the free appetizer!

We had one of our best meals in Napa here. The place was packed but service was friendly and prompt and the food was great. I had the cajun pasta and it was exactly what I hoped it would be.

My wife and I have this restaurant on our rotation. Every time we go we really enjoy ourselves. Their onion rings are amazing, the pork chop is always crazy delicious and perfectly cooked, I love the Napa Iced Tea and my wife the Margarita. If you enjoy Creme Brûlée, the Trio of Creme brûlée is the best I've ever had. I have never had a problem with service which is always quick and friendly. Definitely recommend this place, wish I discovered it sooner.

Good wine by the glass, (pea) soup good but too hot, delicious Alaskan rock fish for an entree, cinnamon apple desert was absolutely fantastic.  Lots of regulars at the bar and in the seated area, which always bodes well.  Wine by the glass was decent (really liked the Boudacious blend) and two flat screens allowed me the ability to watch ESPN and the NBA playoffs at the same time.  Nice...

I really enjoyed the food at this place.  First off, let me say, somehow their mayonnaise is SO GOOD.  I love mayo to begin with, but theirs has garlic or something amazing added to it.  My mom and I had burgers with blue cheese (YUM!), Husband had the pulled pork sandwich and devoured it, my dad had the chicken chopped salad, which he thought was really good!  All in all, we all enjoyed our food.  However, the service was really slow.  That's my only complaint.

We came here on a Sunday night because most other places were closed. The food was good, our server was very nice and the drinks were good as well, but the ambiance was a little weak.

The highlight of the night was the oysters with clementines - they were excellent.

A friend from out of town found this gem in the neighborhood I just moved into. We went for brunch on a Sunday afternoon and loved the place! Danielle was absolutely professional and very accommodating and the manager was visible and actually did table checks.  I haven't seen that anywhere in awhile. We ordered the Salmon Benedict and Quiche, the trio of creme brulee and the chocolate cake, which was all delicious although the quiche wasn't my fav. The Bloody Maria and Blood Orange Mimosa were both great. There were MANY things on the menu so I'll have make this place a go to so I can try them all. I'd definitely recommend reservations.

Just had a fantastic lunch gathering of coworkers/friends there.  I called about a week ahead and they accomodated our party of 12 that became 14 flawlessly.  Heck, I've even gone there without a reservation and they were able to accomodate my husband and I  without having to wait more than 15 min. Maybe I'm lucky.

The food has always been delicious. Let's see...give an example... I had their Fish & Chips (real fish and  great batter-served on Fridays) Wedge salad (fresh and savory). Their chuckburger looked juicy with some pink inside (that's my order for next time) and I just heard about their mac n cheese which I sampled. (rich and creamy with a crusty top, served in a tureen like soup bowl...maybe it was a ramekin. I don't remember what the crockery was.)

Cocktail specials were fresh and fun. Had something called a Grey _____ and it was dry and just perfect. It was one of their signature drinks served in a martini glass.

Service was great. Younger waitstaff, but professional. Took on a table of 14 ladies without much problem. Extra tip for you!

I wish I can give no stars. Went here yesterday for brunch and it was horrible from the service to the food. Our waiter looked like he was miserable and hated his job, he wouldn't even talk or smile. When we would ask for something he would just stare then turn around and get it for us... He also got our order wrong.

The food was horrible. I got the eggs benedict and wasn't asked how I would like my eggs, so I imagined they would do it how it should be done... the yolk slightly runny, nope it was completely well done like a hard boiled egg. My sister's salmon was probably the worst part.. it was COMPLETELY raw. Not only is the disgusting, but extremely dangerous. Her omelet or whatever that green thing was horrible too. The plates didn't even look remotely appetizing. They forgot one of the drinks, they forgot to put toast with one of the meals and forgot to omit the shrimp, just HORRIBLE. The manager even came out to apologize and offered free dessert, why would we want free dessert from a place with food like that!? At a real restaurant they wouldn't have made us pay, or at least not for the raw food. The server never apologized on behalf of his poor service and the kitchen. HORRIBLE! and I usually only write a review when a place is great!

My friend and i had a good time here. Short rib, fried calamari, and grilled salmon are very good! Their wines are also very good. You can ask them to give you a taste if you want to order wine.

I came here with a group of friends for dinner after touring the wine valley. The place was absolutely packed, but we were able to get our reservation moved up. There was even a free appetizer if you checked in on yelp.

I think there must have been a large group coming, because the waiters seemed extremely anxious, and I even saw one of the hosts glaring at people. That said, our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I had the salmon on mashed potatoes, and it may have been some of the best fish I ever had. One of my friends had the steak and fries and loved it.

I would rate this place higher, but the ambiance just wasn't there for me. It was noisy, a bit cramped at times, and the staff was stressed out. I've been here before and seem to remember it being quieter. But we did come on a weekend when there's lots of tours going around. Perhaps coming on an off day would be better. The food is delicious.

Came here for brunch with a group of 8. The service wasn't bad. We ordered their peach bellini, classic blood mary (too spicy), and coffee with baileys (too sweet). I had their fume omelette which was okay. It could had been a little bit more spicy but it didn't taste terrible. The eggs benedict was on a croissant so it was extra buttery and yum.

Fume is awesome. Consistent, friendly, clean, great service, reasonable priced. Also (since I've been last) updated with enclosed patio! To top it off...brunch on weekends! (Until 3pm) offering French toast (t.d.f) one piece if you like or 1 biscuit and gravy! ( awesome) I'm truly blown away...I could go on and on. We love you guys fume! Awesome job! (we normally drive to S.F to find  a great place)

We went here for the first time on a Monday evening and were able to walk right ina get a great corner booth.  It's a small place on a frontage road. My friend loves it, so we thought we'd give it a try. We had no reservation and walked right in. Our booth was a small corner booth so we could actually have a conversation.
It was the best meal I've had in a long time. We were very pleasantly surprised.

We started with the grilled artichoke, to share. Perfect!

John had the pork chop and I had the short rib risotto. Both dishes were wonderful, but I thought mine was the best. Risotto is so time-consuming to cook; this was the creamiest, yummiest I have ever had. The short ribs were fork tender in a delicious cabernet reduction sauce.

We both had a dessert; didn't share. I could not finish mine, but the pomegranate and raspberry sorbets were the perfect finish to a rich meal.

Hubby had the creme brulee trio. He hasn't passed up a creme brulee since I introduced them when we were first married.

I have a new favorite Napa restaurant. It was quiet, the service was excellent (she earned a largish tip), The manager was very attentive, without being annoying. It was a great evening.

    Food was just okay.
    Service was fast and friendly
If this was your first time here, check in and they will give you a free yelp appetizer.
I ordered the porkchop and it was very dry but the brussel sprouts were good.
Eveyone else in the table ordered steak and it was good.
Spent 35 each which was not bad but will probably not come back here.

We heard about this place from a coworker.

We made reservations but it turns out it wasn't necessary on a Monday night. We were seated promptly and our friendly, knowledgeable server greeted us and took our drink orders.

    We ordered the following:
Yelpitzer = macaroni and cheese. It was so delicious! It ad a crispy crusty top. It was rich and very cheesy! It was the perfect amount to share. I think it would be too much cheesy goodness for one person to handle.

Flash Fried calamari = very yummy and tasted fresh. The aioli was very good.

Scallop special = scallops were perfectly cooked! Delicious.

Salmon = asked for it without cheese because of being preggars and cannot have feta, they were able to accommodate.

Creme brulee trio!!! Raspberry, vanilla and chocolate creme brulee. OMG!!! This was so good that neither my husband nor I wanted to share it. It was a fight to get our spoons in the dishes. We would definitely return for this alone.

We had a great experience here. The food was great, ambiance was good and service was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. We want to return for their happy hour on Monday. The burgers everyone ordered at the bar were huge and looked really good.

Fume is one of my favorite Napa restaurants. Whether I visit for a casual afternoon lunch or an important birthday dinner, I always leave satisfied. The ambiance feels trendy and romantic simultaneously, which cannot be an easy feat, and is complemented by the exquisite dishes. Those of you with special eating habits (paleo, vegetarian, vegan or whatever is trendy at the moment) need not fear, for the staff is friendly and happy to create a unique meal to serve your needs! Every server, busser, host and bartender I've interacted with at Fume (and I have frequented this locale since it opened, mind you) is charismatic and genuine. As a Napa native I feel that several restaurants border on pretentiousness, but Fume is not one of them despite their quality. The menu alters with the changing seasons and it is always delightful to see what is new.
The only reason I didn't give five stars was because of the location. The venue itself is beautiful, although it can be difficult for non-locals to find and the parking lot is tiny. I recommend leaving earlier than your reservation calls for just to ensure that you find a spot - you won't want to miss Fume!

One of the receptionist at my work recommended this place to me and said their food was to die for. We came on Sunday during brunch and for 5 was $100.

    - Disguised as someone's house. Located within residential. LOL
    - Check-in deal: YELPatizer was marinated olives with bread! WONDERFUL!
    - Honestly, where the fire at!? I was thinking that the centerpiece of the restaurant would have some kind of FLAME or "FUME" haha. I do see a horse fetish though. xD!!! Maybe, Fume is the name of the horse.
    - We made a reservation but at the time I'd say wasn't too necessary
    - Needs more butt kissing. For a Benjamin, I'd expect drink refills without asking and how is the food conversation. Nothing. Brunette waitress fail with no name tag. No last thank you and sayonara as we left fail. Get ya butt outta here. haha
    - Mac and Cheese: OMG! $10.50 for a small bowl. Yes, good cheese and crispy, but disappointing as my friend put high hype into it. Not even close to remarkable when compared to Wicked Spoon and that's a buffet! Puts theres to shame. SMH....
    - Onion Rings: HIGH recommendation! not too much batter and light crisp to perfection! GREAT!
    - Grilled chicken pizza: lots of chicken and artichoke. I actually ate the crust. LOL. YelpAtizer compliments this SO WELL!
    - Egg's benedict: They made the hollendaise sauce really good. It had the right thickness and not too lemony!
    - French fries has parsley. fancy fancy!
    - Bathrooms are exotic. If someone is in there longer than 10min, then you know why. LOL.
    - I'd think twice before coming here. I'll pass for brunch and try dinner with better hopes.

    Hello,

The staff was excellent, and the coordinator Chrissy was fantastic. I had planned a large party reservation (13) to dine at Fume this past weekend. I spent a lot of time planning, and Chrissy was more than helpful and accomodating. The waiter was very friendly, and attentive. The food was very very good. The entire party enjoyed their meals. This truly is a gem, and I will definitely be back.

    Thank you Chrissy and staff!

Fume was recommended by the front desk at our hotel nearby after arriving just before dinner time. We were starving and tired, and wanted to save the pretentiousness of some of the other restaurants in the area for another night. This place is lovely, and the food is great. It is nicely decorated with tall ceilings, but you can tell this is a place that locals frequent and tourists do not. Which I quite liked. Go here if you want great food but don't necessarily care about a celebrity chef's name attached to the brand.

Their Happy Hour menu looked great but we didn't make it there in time. Next time we will defintitely make it in for some great priced glasses of wine and grub.

Lamb steak: it was cooked more then I requested but delicious nonetheless! The sauce was incredible along with the potatoes! The spinach rounded out the perfect bite

Filet mignon: cooked more than requested but still very tender. Potatoes and asparagus served with it. Delicious, standard, but the sauce made the dish.

Mac n cheese appetizer: great cheese flavor, not anything out of the ordinary but I'd order it again.

Service: very professional. They're very pleasing and kind. Confident and honest.

Booked Fume for my company's team retreat, and it was pretty much perfect. We stayed at the Napa Winery Inn, which was literally a block away - perfect for a group to walk to after a big meeting.

There were close to 40 of us, and since we started the planning process pretty early, we were able to book the patio. The patio seats 40 people at 4 10-person tables (but can be set up for a smaller group). There is plenty of heating, so it's fine even in the winter. Although it was fairly chilly outside, the heaters were more than enough - we had the staff turn them off.

Everything was perfectly set-up when we got there, and the servers/bussers were super accommodating when we asked them to rearrange some of the tables. Service was super smooth, even with our large group.

Everyone raved about the food. I had the salmon, and it was perfectly cooked, as was the asparagus that came with it. The apple crisp I had for dessert was delicious (and probably terrible for me). Omnomnomnom.

Chrissy, the general manager, was fantastic to work with. If we were to return to Napa with a big group, I'd definitely revisit Fume.

My mother took us to brunch one Saturday. I was happy to see they were still seating diners even at 2:15pm.

She had the quiche of the day. He had the biscuits and gravy. I had the sunrise scramble. All were delicious - especially the quiche. The home fried potatoes were yummy. The only point of contention was the toast had blackened edges and faces. (Pretty nitpicky, but they were burnt tasting enough that I was on the verge of asking for new.)

A great meal, excellent options, friendly staff, and reasonable prices for the quality of food. We will definitely be back!

We needed a brunch spot that could accommodate a next-day Sunday brunch reservation - good luck with that, as most brunch spots are no reservations and you get the singular joy of waiting for the privilege of eating at an establishment for at least two hours. I love food, but I will not wait for any restaurant. Just goes against my principles. What are we, sheep? Heck, no.

Enter Fume. It was a little out of our decided range (we had a flight to catch after brunch) but we decided the guarantee of a reservation outweighed a spot closer to downtown Napa. I made the reservation for 11am for three and as it turned out, we were a party of four, No worry, they were able to accommodate us with a nice booth in the back of the restaurant - quiet, cozy, perfect.

Our service was great, no issues to speak of. And seeing the menu - well, let's just say that I wanted to order about four things and was disgruntled that I had to stick to one. I ended up ordering a Cobb Omelette (grilled chicken, tomatoes, avocado, bacon, scallions, white cheddar, topped with sour cream) and was over-the-moon happy with my choice. I sat, in awe of my breakfast, wondering why I had rarely seen a Cobb omelette offered on a brunch menu before. Such a perfect combination of ingredients to fold into a lovely eggy embrace!

I'd definitely recommend Fume for brunch, and love the fact that they offer reservations! Good show!
