Came here last week for all you can eat wings.
They offer wings in breaded fried, unbreaded fried, and grilled varieties with about 15 different sauce options. Â Everything I had was delicious. Â They also had a good deal on pitchers of beer. Â Service was good and I was very satisfied.
My only issue was that even the hottest wing sauce wasn't hot at all. Â I would say their hottest sauce was somewhere between a B-dubs medium and hot.
This has become one of my favorite Gotors around.
Spent some time enjoying some wings and drinks a few nights ago and was pretty impressed.
Our waitress was among the best I've had at a Gators, the environment was very clean and brighter than the usual.
Service was fast and food was good.
What else could I ask for....a live gator aquarium, yeah, that's what else I could ask for.
Wings were fantastic but there were plenty of other good surprises too. I was expecting the typical dark, smelly, sports bar environment was happy to see that Gators Dockside uses a bright and inviting decor that makes it very appealing. It also makes it very easy to see that the establishment has very high standards of cleanliness which is a huge plus. I tried the 10 piece wing lunch special with the Thai Chili sauce and really enjoyed them. The wings (naked) were fried to perfection with a nice crispy skin and moist meat. Service was outstanding by friendly servers - proving that a push up bra and volleyball shorts are not a pre-requisite for great wings. Good food, good service, reasonable prices, and clean inviting dining room - definitely worth a repeat visit!
Review Source:I went for All You Can Eat Wings night (Monday). Â It's about $12. Â You select the flavor (they have about 15 or so) and how you want it prepared (grilled or fried/buffalo style). Â
I was getting grilled in an effort to be slightly more healthy, and they were okay. Â There was almost no sauce on the grilled wings, and I would have liked them tossed in sauce instead of sauced pre-grill. Â Pre-grill saucing isn't bad, but I would have preferred a toss in the sauce before serving. Â To be fair, I didn't ask them to do this, so I will do so next time and see if they do it.
The service was fine; I was worried because every Gators Dockside I have been to has had piss poor service. Â I went at about 6 pm and got there before the rush (this place really picks up closer to 8 pm on wing night). Â
Overall, not a terrible experience, and if I go back for another wing night and ask them to resauce after grilling I'll update the review with feedback.
Will never do business with them again. Hubby has ordered the same thing off their to-go menu for a couple of years now. Ordered the same thing tonight and got half the food for the same overpriced cost. Drive back to complain only to be told that they changed their menu the day before. There were no postings in their restaurant about the change and the manager made ZERO attempt at customer service. $8 plus $2 tip for "gyros" (one pita, 3-4 slices of meat) and 10-12 fried onion pieces. Not rings. Pieces. Never ever again. I wish I could post a picture. You'd be disgusted too.
Review Source:I was prepared to be unimpressed by this place when family members suggested we eat here, and when my partner and I walked in it seemed -- alligator taxidermy notwithstanding -- like many other sports bars we've been in. But we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our food, as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant. We enjoyed the "gator chips" appetizer, obviously inspired by nachos but featuring homemade potato chips, cheddar and bleu cheese dressing, bacon and scallions. We also loved the grilled chicken wings -- I really prefer these to the deep-fried kind -- and especially liked the teriyaki and barbecue flavors. The big hit at our table, though, was Gator's turkey Reuben, served on a delicious soft pretzel bun; really, really good. The menu is more extensive than that in many other sports bars, and there are actually some healthy menu choices along with bar favorites; for instance, you can get your sandwich or burger with steamed vegetables instead of fries.
Service was fine, although our young waitperson seemed a little overwhelmed by our table of four.
We would recommend Gator's to others seeking a casual spot for lunch or dinner. It's also more family friendly than a typical bar; we saw lots of families with kids here.
Was just there this past Saturday and had an awesome time. Great place to watch the MMA fights as the place gets packed! For a city as "empty" as Clermont its really a good time and place to come out and meet other locals.
Mondays are all u can eat wings and they have two good quality pool tables and a good arcade for kids.
It's a bar with bar food...what more can I say.
Good food and family atmosphere but the prices for wings are a little outrageous! Maybe I an just use to the college atmospheres where u can get 35 cent wings and 2 dollar pitchers. Â But oh well... Also I just thought I should mention that the hostess was very rude.. The larger hostess that is..
