Stuffy, hectic bar area was not a great place to be.  They left the doors open for First Friday in May, which let in a bunch of humidity.

I met a friend for drinks because I thought their cool lit up bar was neat, but will not return.  The bartenders apparently had to also wait tables, which caused an empty bar at times, and constant hustling back and forth by our barstools. The peach bellini was not worth $8.  My friend ordered a ceasar salad with shrimp, and 30 minutes later it still did not arrive.  Since we were long past our drink and wanted to stop in other places, we asked to cancel the salad.  The nice bartender explained it is ready, just waiting on the grilled shrimp.  It arrived a soggy heap of limp lettuce drowned in ceasar, with warm delicious shrimp.  She took it off our bill, since it was so late and she understood we only had babysitters for a short time ;) hence the rush

First of all, the service was fantastic!  That is the only positive thing I have to say.  We ordered hummos for an appetizer.  That was our mistake... Greasy triangles of flatbread with two scoops of cold, hummos with whole garbanzo beans that didn't get  blended too well - or at all.  Again, our fault.  It's not a Greek restaurant.
But, I had Bourbon Chicken.  On the menu it was described as glazed chicken breast with rice pilaf and green beans and red peppers.  When it came, it was a chicken breast smothered in a bourbon syrup.  It was unedible.  Rice pilaf, meh.
It's really a shame because the last thing that Delaware needed was yet another mediocre restaurant.

I will say that the service was exceptional! However, the food was not so exceptional. I was not impressed at all. My family ordered the Delaware Club sandwich and Lobster Mac and Cheese. The sandwich was nothing great. My kid had the lobster mac and cheese, let's just say the next day she was extremely sick from the food. We will not be back.

Not a bad place to eat. The beverage glasses are way too small. Service was ok too!

Generations is new to the Delaware area, having filled the space that locals once knew as Nova. It's a great fit with the community and I've enjoyed two meals there since it's opening just a few months ago. The beer lover inside me was happy to learn that they had Great Lakes Brewing Co's Christmas Ale, but was sad that it was their last bottle. I'm sure with their growing presence and relationship with beer and wine distributors they'll get a bigger delivery from Great Lakes next year (as they ration the Christmas Ale quite a bit). As far as food goes, when I went with my family each of our meals was delicious. On our table we had Linguini and Meatballs, which was filling and the meatballs were giant; Marscapone Pasta that was as creamy and delicious as it sounds; the Generations Burger; and the Shrimp and Sausage Penne... watch out on that one, it is spicier than the menu lets on because of the andouille sausage. On a return visit I ordered the New England Burger, a crab cake on a bun with wasabi sauce, and you MUST - I repeat, MUST - get extra wasabi sauce because it is delicious with it. Overall, I am very happy with this new addition to Delaware and I can't wait to return in warmer weather to sit outside and enjoy the patio with the view of downtown.

Generations was ok food. Nice servers and hostess. Should have gone down the road to 1808 for better better food and better beer selection.
