My boyfriend was excited to try this place. Â It has a very nice ambiance, and the service was nice, although a little slow. Â Even though we were sitting at the bar our first drinks took at least 10 minutes. Â They were pretty good although could have been shaken a little longer to get them a little colder. Â The reason I am really reviewing this place is to warn you about the crab cakes. Â Don't get them. Â They are not worth the money and they are not good. Â I didn't even have to taste them to know that they were bad, I could tell by looking at them. Â They are about 1/4 of an inch think, to crunchy, and you can barely tell it's crab - there's no claw meat at all, mostly filling. Â So deconstructed (and not in the trendy way) I am doubtful it was even real crab meat. Â And if it's not they are making a killing at selling 2 tiny cakes for $12.50.
Review Source:My wife and her parents went here for Easter buffet, which apparently you need reservations for - strange since it didn't appear busy. Â Anyways, we found the place off of 4th and the outside was very unassuming, but once we walked in it felt very classy! Â We were quickly given a table and the decor was quite interesting. Â I can see why they named it Generations with all of their own family photos on the wall. Â There is a sense of poetry in the photos that inspire conversations. Â The rest of the decor was well thought out and well put together.
The server was very friendly and I was very impressed with her! Â Since the meal was buffet style we just had to order drinks. Â The options were juice, water, mimosas and a bottomless blood mary bar (which is cool if you like those). Â I had a Mimosa and they had bloody marys. Â They were all good, but expensive (the prices were not on the menu - kinda sneaky).
The food was all typical breakfast items including waffles, country potatoes, biscuits and gravy, etc. Â They also had some other interesting items such as shrimp and salmon! Â All of the food was good and I would recommend anyone to this establishment. Â I'll have to warn them about the prices, but that shouldn't deter most from coming here on an occasional basis.
