They serve their fish tacos on store bought crunchy shells. The chili is salty and the service mediocre. I have been several times and every time the food is a disappointment and I have spent way too much money. It's trying to be a high end pub or bistro but just misses the mark every time.

I always like to come here as there is never a problem getting a table and a good meal.  I love the breakfast and have tried most of them never to be disappointed.  Enjoy this place with friend or family for dinner and a drink.  They have live music as well.  Service has always been great.

I had fish tacos and a couple Utah microbrews. The bartenders were very friendly, and the food was good.  I thought the prices were fair, having just come from Vegas. There was a decent crowd for 10pm on a Tuesday. It looked like there may have been live music earlier in the evening.  There aren't too many bars in St. George, but check this one out if you're in the area.

Great place for lunch - fish and chips plus the pear salad. Both were excellent. Service was too. My sister comes here often since she lives in the area. She loves this place.

This establishment is by far the best cuisine in town. The bloody mary is THE best i've ever had anywhere! The staff is also top notch. But all that aside..
    lets talk about Miley Cyrus.
Remember when Miley starred in Hannah Montana? Good ol' wholesome Disney Channel programming? Well, that was the Pub Pretzel 6ish months ago. Delicious, appealing, and something one was not ashamed to order above 40 decibels. But then, tragically, George sent the pub pretzel to the 2013 VMAs where Pub Pretzel did a little number without wearing her cheese sauce clothes. Yes she had on a skimpy mustard seed bikini, and was somewhat recognizable, but not the the same Miley Pretzel we grew to know and love. So please George's, bring back the wholesome pub pretzel to it's original glory, and stop letting this young gem galavant about without her cheese sauce clothes. It's hurting her Dads achey - breaky heart.

This was one of my bookmarked places for this trip to St. George.  After being unable to find the restaurant I had planned for the first night in Utah, I went to George's Corner instead.

I had the steak frites and an iced tea.  The steak was done a little more than I like but it was acceptable.  My server was Matthew, and he was great!  He brought a second iced tea when I was getting low and he was a very pleasant fellow.

Parking is easy in the rear and it's a short walk from many of the motels along St. George Boulevard.  I'd go here again, but it would be more for a sandwich or salad.  The menu is limited in the main course section.

    Wow what a disappointment.
I ordered ribs, these were clearly DAYS old.  Dried and nasty.  Cooked to death in a steam table.  They were not ribs in any sense other than being cut from that part of the pig.  Sent them back and ordered a burger.

Burger was good.  If you here, stick with the burger.

Great addition to Ancestor Square!  Casual, but comfortable atmosphere, super friendly bartenders, and tasty snacks and drinks!

We're locals in St George and passed by George's Corner for too long. We were having our house painted and staying in a local hotel thus eating out more than normal and we found George's Corner in a hotel recommendation and so we tried it out. My wife loved the fish tacos and I loved the fish and chips. They also offer onion rings instead of fries with the fish and they are fresh hand cut and dipped.  They are all fantastic. We've since been back many times and love that we have a new favorite place to eat out.

This place looked fun and had decent reviews on Yelp so my family and I decided to try it. The staff was very friendly and the bathrooms were immaculate. I'd love to come back and try their drinks and other menu items. The presentation of the food is beautiful, but the flavor is totally forgetable (at least what I ate was). In fact, I had to Google their menu to remember. It was the cilantro pesto quesadilla, by the way. It just tasted like a cheese quesadilla. Where was the cilantro pesto? I honestly think it was a fluke though and I'd still come back if I happened to be in the neighborhood again.

Burger was good and so was the service. Not great. Not amazing. The old photos of St George were cool. It seemed like a nice place to hangout. I will go back just because of the atmosphere.

I have eaten at George's on two different trips to St. George and loved it both times.  (If you like spicy dishes try the pulled pork sandwich with a cold beer.  Delish.)  The prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent.  The managers and servers seem to enjoy working there as much as the customers enjoy eating there.  My only regret is not trying something from the cocktail menu.  It had a number of selections that sounded tasty.

Passing by St. George, a friend that lives there decided to meet up for some quick lunch before our trip continued to the west.

She met us at the restaurant, got a table, and were pretty excited about it, as it looked quite nice inside and out.

The place is empty... It's around 3-4 pm, so we had the restaurant all to ourselves, which was really nice.
We ordered our food, and started chatting it up and catching up.
A minute or two later, these 2 moms and kids come in and they get seated right beside us, in a table that was basically attached to ours and enclosed by the same booth. I mean... if they didn't hear my every saying normally, the could hear my echo with the booth surrounding us all cozy.

What went through my head was... I wanna discuss funny/gross/rude/shitty things, with the foulest of languages, and catch up with my friend in the most relaxed way possible. With this booth effect I feel like I will scar those kids for life, and the moms will think I am one of the most disgusting human being with the foulest of languages they have ever heard.

The whole restaurant was empty, and they gave us the premium cozy treatment, and destroyed the whole experience for me. After that I just got bitchy and felt like everything was awful, but I'm sure it wasn't.

I'll probably go once again just to give it another chance, it was a minor mistake from the staff, It just sucked it ruined a good catch up session for long distance friends.

We were passing through to Zion late on a Sunday night. We pulled in after 10pm. Matthew was our server and was very responsive and professional. He recommended the black bean avocado salad which was excellent. We also that the lamb burger which we highly recommend. Atmosphere and presentation were charming.

Can I just shout out how much I love this place? Finally a breath of fresh air for St. George. They host live music a few nights a week and they are open late. They also serve a variety of great drinks.

When I want a break from it all, I go here and treat myself to a real glass of Whiskey, a piece of Pie and enjoy some local live music. It's a great place to meet other locals as well.

Soon I am going to be trying out their breakfast menu as they offer gluten free items. Yay!

Great ambiance, attentive wait staff, good coffee, nice meal selection and presentation, but underwhelming flavorless food.  Have had 3 different meals there, 2 breakfasts.  Breakfast burrito topped with good size dollop of COLD guacamole, not room temperature, but actually COLD.

Would give it 5 stars for location, presentation, employees, etc, but a restaurant should also have great food.  Wait in line at Jazzy Java or head out to Coyote Gulch in Kayenta.

Visiting from Ca and came here at 10pm on Sat evening to catch the end of the Sharks hockey game. Loved the live music, guitar and vocalist duet.  We sat upstairs to eat and watch the game and  the music was wonderful in the background.  Good selection of local beers on tap, was very pleased by the fresh garden salad, slider and fish taco. Waiter was very attentive and efficient.  Great local pub for late dining and entertainment.

I was recently in Saint George for 2 months. During that time I had the privilege to go to George's Corner 3 times. The first first time it was for breakfast and it was delicious. I had Huevos Rancheros, with a cup of milk and a side of oatmeal. My friend had a cup of coffee and oatmeal and another entree I forgot what it was. I was to into my meal to care about anything else. The total came out to be about $30 for a friendly amount of food.

The next time I went for lunch and ordered a plan cheeseburger. It was simple, but delicious. I went with 6 people and the total was about $70. No more than $15 a person.

The last time we had their amazing fish tacos. So delicious. The party of 4 I was with all ordered those crunchy fish tacos. I also ordered their homemade Texas style chili. My only regret is that I wish I went there more during my time there.

WE LOVE THIS PLACE!  There is nowhere as unique and amazing as George's in all of St. George.  It has such a great vibe, pay attention to the nostalgic pictures on the wall of old St. George.  The french fries are a must have!  Go on Wednesday nights to enjoy the live music.  The music isn't so loud you can't have a decent conversation.  The wait staff is pleasant and helpful.  We have never had a bad menu item from here!

Had to wait for forever and the service was really bad. The alcoholic drinks are hit or miss. Still a good spot to have in St George.

You ever hear that phrase "the night holds the key"? Yeah, this place has got it.

My husband and I came here because it looked like the only non-chain open after 10. We were on the road, en route to home in Colorado from San Diego. We have a knack for finding the random awesome place everywhere we go. This place totally did not disappoint.

Great late night menu of salads, sandwiches, and drinks. The vibe was super chill was GREAT music: The Xx, MGMT, The Pixies, and all the stuff people who buy shirts from Threadless and have a paid Spotify account are are into (e.g. people like me). The patrons were great and the waitstaff even better: Tattoos, vintage haircuts, love the white button-down shirts and black ties. As a non-Utah-an (or whatever you guys call yourselves) I can only assume that everything that happens in Utah is because someone is a Mormon, or is making fun of Mormons. I'm glad this place didn't ruin my assumption. The service was just stellar. They technically closed at 10:30 or 11 but they were still seating folks at that hour, absolutely no one felt rushed, I overheard the server tell some people "Oh don't worry, we're not in a hurry, we just hang out til everyone is finished." That is awesome. I love places that feel more like "Hey just relax" versus "OK I need to go home and sleep, can we wrap it up here folks."

The late night food was delicious. I got a veggie sandwich which came on a nice multigrain bread and was piled high with sprouts, cucumber, avocado, red peppers, pepper jack cheese, and many other delights. My husband got a salad with goat cheese which I kept sneaking little bites of. After a day of road food this was a much needed and welcome reprieve. Good beer selection with lots of microbrew options.

We came back for breakfast the next day and the food was good but our server was SUPER spastic. Oh well, can't win them all. Still a great breakfast. I got oatmeal with raisins, blueberries and milk and my husband got a short rib hash which looked stellar.

If this place were not 10 hours from my house, this would be one of my regular spots, absolutely.

George's Corner is kind of hit-and-miss. Sometimes it is the best food ever, and sometimes it is kind of bad. The service is almost always good though. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and keep trying it hoping it will gain the type of consistency that you get out of his sister restaurant Painted Pony.

My wife and I ate lunch there two days ago..  The atmosphere was excellent.  The staff are excellent.  The prices are average.  I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and my wife ordered a fish taco with coleslaw.  My cheeseburger was above average and cooked exactly as ordered.  The fries need some work.  They are extremely small in diameter, smaller than shoestring fries.  They broke when you picked them up and you had to grab 4 or 5 to make an average size fry.  The fry sauce was rather ordinary and bland.  My wife's fish taco was served in a hard taco shell ala taco bell.  The fish was bland and rather pedestrian.  Rubio's  serves fish tacos that put these to shame.  They completely fail at fish tacos.  The coleslaw was another disappointment.  Bitter, dry, and looking like it had been sitting in  cold storage locker.  We poured the rest of the fry sauce on it to see if it could be saved.  It couldn't.   This place needs someone to bring some of these dishes together and then they'd have a 5 star restaurant.  The following morning I decided to try breakfast.  The coffee was good.  They brought a complimentary fresh biscuit before the meal, which was very good.  I ordered eggs, sausage, English muffin   and it came with hash browns.  Overall, it was a little better than lunch, but there is not much to work with when you order what I did.  I really like this place and would be a regular there if they can improve the food.  There are better places around food wise, but this is a well decorated and comfortable place.  It was clean and the restrooms were also clean and modern.

Haven't been in yet but the people smoking right outside the door is bad.  Not a great impression so far. So after we get into George's we are seated. There's a band downstairs playing and people are conversing, it was nice. We looked over the menu and I decided on the Lamb burger with fries and my wife had the Chicken Tostada Salad we think it was called. They have a nice beer selection on the menu and I believe a full bar downstairs. We picked a couple of drinks and waited for our meal. The band was very enjoyable to listen to but made conversation a bit difficult with out raising our voices a touch. Our meals came and I must say the Lamb burger was excellent. My wife enjoyed the salad but wished she would've gotten a side of salsa.

Overall the experience out weighed the smokers and we will, for sure, be returning from time to time. For less than $40.00 for the both of us including the drinks and live music I can't complain.

Excellent lunch & dinner! My husband and I are from Laguna Beach and Newport Beach, California. We are accustomed to excellent restaurants in California! The menu is diverse. The fried chicken is cooked fresh & excellent! It is crunchy on the outside & moist and tender on the inside. The seasoning is delicious & not too spicy. It is half a chicken, so you get a variety of pieces! My husband likes the fish tacos and sliders, both are good and have a lot of flavor. They have the best nachos in town! House-made guacamole and chips & house-made chili. Their mac & cheese is delicious. Their fresh, house-made, banana cream pie, with a unique layer of chocolate, is delicious. We usually get take-out, but they have great decor & ambiance for dining-in as well! They are also open late night and 7 days/nights a week, which is unusual for this area. It is so great to have a restaurant open on Sunday and late night! We have eaten here at least 20 times. Co-owners Nicki, Randall & John are all great to customers! Kit, Rebecca, Brianna, Alyssa, Freddie & Abraham are all exceptionally nice!

George's has really good drinks, but I'm not a fan of their food.  I've been there twice and got two different things that were less than impressive; small portions and not very flavorful.  The fries are terrible (stringy, thin, burnt chips) stick with the side salad or soup.  It does have a nice atmosphere to hang out with friends but it's not my first place of choice when going out to dinner, maybe just for lunch or brunch /:

I have been here four or five times and have never been disappointed. Loved the tavern atmosphere downstairs. Prices very reasonable and I so enjoyed the slide show of St. George in days gone by. Service was excellent and food very good.

The ambiance of this restaurant is what sets it apart from the rest of the joints that serve similar great food. Expect to partake of the rustic charm from the pressed beams holding up the ceiling and the earth tone coloring throughout. With that said, the food is really good.

I had the fried chicken dinner which included potato salad and Coleslaw.  The chicken had a proprietary blended coating that was excellent. It was moist and tender and there was a lot of it!

The salads were both very well prepared and absolutely hit the spot. The potato salad was not the usual Mayo/Mustard concoction you expect to see in slab-and-slough joints with no class. This salad had sophistication! It was prepared with red potatoes with a light herbal coating that tasted scrumptious.

Expect to see great waiter service in this restaurant. The gal that waited my table was very helpful and personable, kept my water glass full, and was prompt with my service.

I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants great food and old western charm during lunch or dinner. Don't miss viewing all the period pictures on the walls which include wide screen flat mount TV's that are loaded with picture collages of local, historical images.

Went here while on vacation and had a quick and tasty meal that I really enjoyed.  I don't remember the name of what I ordered but it was a pasta dish that had a short-rib ragu.  It was very large and tasted great. The service was great and the beer was cold !!  I would eat here again !!

As big fans of the Painted Pony, we dropped in for lunch even though we'd heard mixed reviews from disappointed friends.  They hadn't exaggerated. It was terrible.  My fish taco was inedible.  My husband's bratwurst, tasteless.  A friend's lamb burger tasty but overcooked.  Her husband's pastrami, just ok.  We had high hopes for Georges and hope they really take steps to improve it before it drags down the rep of the Painted Pony.  Someone needs to pay attention.

I wish I could rate a half a star... This place is more like 2.75 stars. Lamb burger with curry had some nice spice to it, but the burger was a tad dry. Fries were skinny stringie thins, and I mean that in a good way. Try them dipped in blue cheese dressing! I understand they are friendly to someone looking for a drink. so that's good. Their menu is standard pub fare. Pretty good.

We spent several days in St. George for the Huntsman Games. St. George is an interesting place, and, in many ways, not so welcoming. There's a dearth of non-chainh restaurants for mainstream dining. We ate everywhere, including the neighboring Painted Pony, but George's was the only place we felt like going back to. Unassuming, friendly, excellently executed and simple menu. We ate there three times in four days. Favorites? Frito Sliders, and the ham and gruyere sammy. Tostada  and house pear / chicken/ pecan salads top notch.

I have to start out by saying, really fantastic!  If you are looking for some simply good food that is inexpensive, then this is the place.  I would recommend their house salad with pears and pecans and their pesto quesadilla with chicken and their fish taco; all were fantastic.  We also had their rhubarb strawberry pie which was excellent.  Next time I visit st. George I will be stopping in to try more of their menu items.

We loved this place. Frito sliders were to die for! Salad was fresh and even the dressing was made in house. This place knows how to cook, which is good b/c my family of five knows how to eat! People need to get some pictures on here, I would have taken some if I knew. We stop in St.George on our way to just about anywhere outside of Cali and we will be back again.

We have been long time fans of the excellent Painted Pony restaurant and were very excited that the owners were opening a new place in the area. We attended the grand opening and have dined here several times since. Never disappointed. We experienced the same excellent service and delicious fresh food but with a fun, bit more casual twist. Loved the beautiful decor and old pictures of the Saint George area!  Can't wait to go back!!!

St George food snob here. My wife, daughter and I had dinner here on Friday night. First off, the food and drinks available did not match their web site or table menus. We had to rethink what we wanted. We started off with calamari. It turned out rubbery. The Bent Fork really knew how to make calamari.   I had the fish and onion rings and my wife and daughter shared the grilled ham & cheese. I liked the meal because the fish was not overly greasy; onion rings were good but nothing special. My wife and daughter loved the look of the grilled ham & cheese but were put off by the mustard on it. Service was excellent, friendly and fast.  We will definitely try this place again for two reasons.  First it's new and second  I never judge a place on a single meal. Good luck, we need it in this town where fast food chains are the most highly rate.  Bring back the Bent Fork!!!

I have been here twice and enjoyed both times the food was very good prepared in house and the ambiance was great as well they have a counter area which is on the street level. They have a dining area on the up hill entrance and a basement area with a pool table. I really like the fact that they are open late 7 days a week as well.
