Gilly' Gilly' Gilly's (shaking my head)... is the only place that plays okay hip hop music around this town. The drinks are good and reasonably priced. I recommend a drink called "A blackout" Â if you want a sweet and very strong ... if you are into sweet drinks that is. The bartenders are friendly, but due to the setup of the bar with drink bottles being at the other side of the bar from bartenders' station, it delays good service delivery time, so be prepared to wait a bit for a drink on a busy night. The music playlist needs a major update. They play no real west or east coast music nor any reggae music from artists like Sean Paul or Elephant man, which are know as the more popular cross over artist. "DJ NY" Okay MR.DJ NY .... please change your DJ Title and Name because I am from NYC. You are not representing our state nor skill to the fullest. All the DJ's I know understand the basics, which is they know how to spin, mix and transition from one song to the next song. He is unable to do any of that! Just substandard skills. DJ on friday nights (DJ NY) plays the same older version hip hop like "Sir Mix alot "I like big butts". It is the same pop music he plays every week around the same time, and I hadn't been to Gilly's in a month until last night and it was very much like ground hog day ... same music flow ... around same time .... just bad music. It got to a point where you had to be really drunk out of your mind in order to perceive the music was acceptable. Only the really drunk people were on the dance floor. A mess! Please get a better DJ STAT!!! Wish Gilly's asked people about their last experience at Gilly's as they entered and exited their doors.
