I got married here last summer and could not have asked for a better experience. I've always envisioned having a beautiful outdoor ceremony surrounded by trees, flowers and a beautiful view, and this place met all those requirements and more. The restaurant sits on top of a beautiful green hill overlooking the golf course on one side and the ocean on the other! They also have a small vineyard, as well as a garden (where we had our ceremony). My husband and I live in the city and I still remember him complaining about how far the drive was when we were on our way to visit the venue, but once we got to Giorgio's, the picturesque setting won our hearts. Not only was the outside beautiful, but the interior was as well. I was looking for a place that encompassed both a great interior and exterior, just in case it rained, I wanted option B to be just as great, and this place was exactly that. The dining room was surrounded by large beautiful windows that overlooked the garden and golf course. The cocktail room had a beautiful grand piano. The decor was elegant and classy down to the details. The bride and groom each have their own suites, and they do one wedding at a time. Aside from it all, the food was to die for. There were quite a number of "foodies" at my wedding, and to this day, people still rave about how amazing the food was. The Maitre'D and the wedding coordinator did an amazing job in ensuring everything went smoothly and flawlessly. The wedding coordinator even packed up all my stuff before the end of the wedding so by the time we were ready to leave, everything was ready for us! My husband and I were able to enjoy our wedding worry free thanks to the spectacular staff!

Giorgio's has become part of our Christmas tradition.  We have brunch at some point before the holiday.  The meal is a little pricey but they have good service and a very nice selection of buffet items.  Classic breakfast items are joined by pastas and seafood, antipasto, omelet and carving stations.  All good stuff.  The desserts are typically good (I did have a bad lemon meringue today but that's a rarity).  The view is very nice overlooking the community golf course and parts of Calverton.  If you don't want to valet park, the only open parking is down a steep hill.  I always used the valet and have never waited more than 5 minutes for the car to come up.  So it's not worth the trek uphill.  I also suspect the orange juice is a bargain brand as it's slightly odd tasting.  Not awful just a little odd.  All things considered, we'll keep going.  They do a good job with the holiday brunch. They have Santa and some carolers going table to table and is sets the tone for the season.

I really enjoyed my visit here. This place has class, elegance, and great food and friendly servers.
I've been to many catering halls around the Tri-State area, and Giorgio's does it as well as any of them can.
The food was great, cocktail hour and dinner itself. For dinner I was given a pork chop and it was delicious. . I couldn't complain about anything, everything was tasty and the service spectacular.
They even use air fresheners which was a small detail but a noticed one.
My only complaint was that if you wanted to self park, you had to do it down a hill.

I bounced between 1 and 2 stars here, but I'll give them the 2nd star ONLY because of the fact that they appear to be able to cook food properly.  That is to say, "correctly", not "wonderfully", or at all with any degree of specialness (yeah, it's not a word but it should be - I'll lobby Websters about it tomorrow).

My wife and I were there for their "special" Thanksgiving buffet.

They managed to irritate me right from the doorway.  We got inside, walked to the podium, and then had to stand there for five minutes while the maitre-d argued with the girl working the podium about which waitress he'd move to what table.  Through the whole time, neither of them even had the courtesy to look up and acknowledge that we even existed.  No.. "hello, we're sorry just one moment please", not even a nod or smile.  It took me several coughs and a funny noise through my nose before either of them managed to note the fact of our existence.

The quality of service did not improve.  What's worse, is that they have the audacity to add 18% "gratuity" to the bill, when they can barely mange to pick up a dirty plate.

Food was good.  Not at all exceptional.

The "antipasto bar" was nothing more than a few pasta salads, a fennel salad that had the whole bulbs cut in half (nobody eats fennel that way), and a tray of sad looking ultra-thinly sliced mozzarella pinwheels.

The "bread table" did have a lot of nice bread.  Unfortunately, there was no where to put your plate down while attempting to cut from the loaves - all of which were arranged for a left handed person.  Not that I have anything against left handed people, but statistics show they are not in the majority.  We watched many people struggling to get bread.

"Salad bar" consisted of grated carrots, a few dressings and some cucumber.  No onions, egg, bacon, beans, any of what one would traditionally expect.

"Fish Station" was a dry cooked cold salmon, a smoked whitefish, raw clams (good), and shrimp (ok).  There was sushi, but no bowls were provided for soy, ginger or wasabi - so you had to drizzle from a big pitcher and by the time you got back to your table, your sushi had fallen to pieces...

With the "thanksgiving dinner", there were 3 kinds of potato, and only ONE vegetable - string beans floating in a sea of butter.  The turkey was cooked well, juicy - but the accompaniments were completely without flair.

The desert table was clearly populated by items extracted from institutional boxes.  I've seen better at a Chinese buffet.  Just because you have a chocolate fountain doesn't make you special (and haven't those been out of style for about 100 years now?)  What's worse, the pastries were DRY - day old at least, if not more.  Repulsive, in fact.

The WORST irritation came with the bill.  When you charge $42.95 PER PERSON for a buffet, one does NOT expect to see soft drinks (diet coke & ginger-ale) itemized at $1 per glass.  WTF?

Sorry - I would NEVER go back after that - I can't believe that Sunday brunch would be much better.  Sorry - I'll stick with Rothman's even though it's an hour's drive - I'll get charged about 5 dollars more, and drink Mimosas and Bloody Marys until I can't see straight - not ONE of those will show up on the bill, and neither will the soda.

Beautiful setting, good food and service.  The smoked fish, oysters on the half shell and lox were by themselves worth the cost, but there was much much more.  The cooked foods were solid and unpretentious.  I did not have the made to order omelets or eggs Benedict but judging from the number of people in line for them they must be good.
The deserts were not up to the same standard however.  But there was fresh fruit, a welcome light finish to a hearty meal.  Good coffee.

Great place to have brunch on Sunday! I love that it is a station to station brunch and not a la carte. You definitely get your money's worth and the food is always good.

The grounds are beautiful and it is also a lovely place to have a wedding reception. It was one of the first places we looked at for our wedding but it was already booked on our date.
