By far my FAVORITE bar. I use the term bar loosely, because it is so much more than that. I have never seen a beer selection like that of Global Brew...I have yet to drink a beer I've already tasted (partially because I am a member of the United Nations and going for 100 different types). They don't serve food -- no problem. They are totally down with you ordering a sandwich from Jimmy Johns and munching while you sip your amazing beer. Overwhelmed and don't know what to order? Tell your server what types of beers/flavors you enjoy and they will hand select you a winner. The one downside for me always seems to be parking. It's very limited in the front.
Review Source:If I had something like this within a few blocks of my apartment, it would be very, very dangerous. In that sense, I'm glad Global is in O'Fallon & I can only go once every few months when I'm visiting.
Tons, and I mean tons, of beers (good beers, none of that craptastic stuff) on tap, and even more in bottles. If you can't find something you like here, then you probably don't like beer (totally did not mean for that to rhyme, but now that I think of it, that should be their slogan!). I'm personally an IPA girl, and they had too many to choose from so I relied on the bartender to point me in the right direction. I have no idea what I drank, but it was good.
There's a great outdoor space that is connected by a garage door, which I dig. I also like that you can bring in your own food or order from the restaurant next door... this is beer heaven.
Great place and great atmosphere! The variety of beer on tap is awesome. With 50 different beers on tap and over 200 bottles you can't be disappointed. The staff is also great and will be more than happy to direct you to what you are looking for and then sample before you buy! Great new place in O'fallon.
Review Source:I like this place. I don't really think it's the place to go for people that don't like loud music or expect to talk much. I do think they could turn down the music just a little. I ordered the Rogue Yellow Snow which I had to give the husband. I just didn't like it. I ordered a Bells one and another Weiss Bier one. Those were my favorites. We waited over 25 minutes for a waitress so I finally just ordered the first one from the bar. I hope the service improves. I won't knock it since it was opening day. I've worked in the industry and I understand how the first week or two. After that no more excuses. So head over here for happy hour and check it ought.
Review Source:Beer!!! If you're a beer drinker that likes to explore the finer tastes of beer then this place is a must go. Awesome selection of draft beer and a large selection of bottles too. Went to opening day and the place was packed. Not a quiet place so if you're looking to whisper sweet nothings in someone's ear this might not be the place for that. Outdoor patio area with a fire pit that would be nice on cool evenings. And if your hungry, get a pizza from Bella Milano's next door and bring it over and enjoy your brew. I see being a regular here in my future.
