The perfect example of what every town needs for their adults 21 and older. Everyone  that is of drinking age from all walks of life can enjoy Good Ol' Days.
Food is fantastic and the beer is cold.
Music is provided by jukebox, satellite, or band.
Outdoor seating for those beautiful Georgia days.
Pool tables, dart boards, video games and separate areas that let you be involved with the locals or sit by yourself for relaxing.
You can also smoke inside. So, for you smokers out there that can't or choose not to quit. You will not be accosted by "no smoking ban" signs or sneers from patrons that don't approve of your desire or need to smoke. OMG.
And, the place feels, smells, and looks clean.
It was a scene out of a Coen brothers movie. My brother in law and I drank and met some really insane people who were very impressed to see northeasterners while a one-armed guitar player rocked out with his popular band(he was really, really good).
If you are from out of town, this is really the only place you should go drinking.
This is one of few bars that allows smoking. So it's good for us cigar smokers. The food which is Irish/British is surprisingly good. I haven't had a bad meal here. The beer selection is pretty good. The scotch selection isn't so broad. You'll have 3-4 choices. The prices are reasonable. In addition there are pool tables and dart boards to occupy your time. This bar has live bands on the weekends. I've never been here on those nights, but they seem to be popular.
Review Source:Want a beer with those 100 lite cigs?? I went to GODs on Saturday to see Colonel Bruce Hampton. Unfortunately I could only stay for about 8 minutes before I was smoked out. When I got home, my clothes and hair smelled like smoke. Â Imagine if I had stayed for the show. If I smoked, my review might be totally different. I saw a dart board on the way to the ladies room (which was clean for a bar). It looked like there was a game room with some pool tables. And they have live music, which I love and don't get much of here in the outer 'burbs. But I can not go back to such a smokey place, but for you Smokey McSmokers out there, give it a try.

They have Harp lager, allow smoking inside and out, and the gyro was fantastic! Â Must be 18 to enter and 21 after 9pm. Â This is a great place for adults to gather without dealing with kids; isn't that what we need for date night once in a while?
In fact, I enjoyed it so much this past Tuesday for lunch, I'm headed there again tonight with my husband, to introduce Good Ol' Days to him!
The food is pretty good. The tots are amazing, and I enjoy the chicken fajita wrap. I've never been here with anyone who hasn't enjoyed the food.
It's also a decent place to go for trivia on Wednesdays. However, the kitchen is entirely too slow. I went here for lunch recently and it took 45 minutes to get out an order for five--despite the restaurant being nearly empty. It was also a long wait the night I went for trivia, but the wait was completely unacceptable for lunch (though the waitress did leave our drinks off of the bill when someone complained).
GO for trivia and dinner.
AVOID for lunch on a weekday if you don't have all day to eat. Also avoid if you don't like eating around smoke; the place kind of reeks.
This bar/restaurant/nightclub/local hangout is not too bad for what it is; a simple place to hang and meet/make new friends, people watch, shoot  pool, throw darts, drink beer, and eat food. Good Ol Days doesn't kid itself in being a true Irish Pub and it doesn't have to because it is most often filled, as another reviewer stated, with an, "Eclectic clientele" that needn't care for the theme induced and over-glorified bar/restaurant/nightclub/wanna-be/look at me chains that dot too many a roadway.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the kitchen serves up some pretty good foodstuffs; some menu recommendations are:
The Fried Calamari was a big surprise as it was perfectly prepared, not rubbery, and the accompanying marinara was fresh and robust: The Southwest Style Egg Rolls are very good alone and further enhanced with the spicy chipolte ranch dressing.
The Dubliner Chicken and Classic Caesar Salads are good as a stand alone meal (large size) with plenty of fresh greens, veggies and excellent dressings. We have yet to order the other salad offerings but are very intrigued to try the Balsamic Spinach and Tomato, and the Ponzu Spinach next!
The Irish Potato Soup has to be tried as there are VERY few places that serve this properly.
Sandwiches, Wraps, Burgers have ALL have been excellent; special note of praise for the Greek Gyro; and the vegetarian in our group raved about the veggie burger in the Firehouse preparation too!
Shepherds Pie is phenomenal with just the right consistency of gravy, meat, and veggies over a bed of horseradish mashed potatoes; this dish is a real standout with perfectly balanced flavors and fresh, not soggy veggies!
The Leprechan Ribs easily beats out some of the stand alone rib joints! They were very plentiful with fall-off-the-bone meatiness and a bold but highly complimentary sauce! Â
The sides have been excellent as well!
I really like Good Ol Days food but of course, they have some menu downfalls; for starters, their Jumbo Wings and Crab Legs are not the best; the Wings are OK but often a bit undercooked and unfavorable; they serve ten flavors of wings with the Whiskey Girl, Lemon Pepper, and Honey BBQ being my best bet.
The Crab Legs are to be avoided as they have been served waterlogged and deathly overcooked.
Good Ol Days offers an, "All you can eat Jumbo Wings" on Mondays, and an "All you can eat Crab Legs & Hush Puppies" on Tuesdays and Sundays, Team Trivia on Wednesdays, Karoake on Thursdays, and live music with no cover on Fridays and Saturdays.
The atmosphere is generally a bar setting but met with friendly service, nice people, and relatively good food. There is plenty of room to mingle, catch some local bands, take in some pool or darts, watch sports, drink, and be merry! Â
SPECIAL NOTE; SMOKING is allowed in all customer areas of Good Ol Days! They do have fans to circulate the air inside, but it can get smokey! There is an outside porch setting with ceiling fans as well but if a person can't take the smoke do avoid coming here.
Come on; it's not really an Irish bar. Â A few shamrocks, a sign saying "cead mile failte" ,and some token Irish nods on the menu don't make it an Irish pub. Â Lets say, "Irish themed"
Now, having said that.... great food, great patio, great event schedule, and, most importantly, great staff- especially the bartenders. Â The beer selection is impressive. Â Eclectic clientele. Â Good Ol' Â Days is a fantastic neighborhood bar tucked up there near the lake.
