I ate and drank here during the july 4 weekend.

My check was $39.  I left a $7 tip which is more than 15%.

When I checked my credit card bill, the bartender or whomever appears to have added $40 extra dollars to my tip.  I contacted my credit card company and disputed this charge.

I wish I can give this place negative stars for such UNETHICAL practice

Just your average decent bar: came here with a group so didn't get a chance to check out the bar but did order a drink and the beer on tap is pretty good, nothing to complain about.

We managed to get seating for eight of us in the back in the evening hours and got pretty fast service. I mean we got our time to decide what we wanted and the food came in about 30 minutes for eight of us. Waitress was nice enough. Ordered a burger with cheese, extra toppings like jalapenos and onions. I thought the burger was good, just like what a bar burger should be like.

Atmosphere-wise, well just a local bar-restaurant setting to hang out at. Would I come again if I were in the area? Yes. With there not super loud music, to have a conversation with friends. Yes.

Maybe it was because we came here on a holiday - July 4th, but the young wait staff was somewhat rude, extremely unhelpful, and seemed to enjoy sitting around talking to one another or smoking cigarettes outside, as opposed to helping customers. From the warm beers, to the chef and employees outside smoking, to the jalapeño peppers the chef put on the Philly Cheesesteak in place of the green peppers that normally come on a Philly (it was either innovation or confusion...but either way it was unappetizing), our visit was extremely unenjoyable. As regular visitors to Williamsburg, we definitely won't return here.
