local local local. yeah. its that kinda place. you almost have to prepare yourself before coming here. which means, bring a lot of cash$. i even saw some frozen items in the fridge that had non-gmo labeling.
i ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich and a freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookie. total cost $8.50. the sandwich took about 20 minutes to come out. the reason being that they can only toast up 4 sandwiches at a time and there were a few people ahead of me. the chicken sandwich was pretty tasty. pretty sure it was organic chicken and the local pepperjack cheese.
i think 3 stars might be a bit too generous but, WHEN IN ROME.
Leaving Keene got hungry all of a sudden and this place was perfectly in our Trajectory! I just wanted a great sandwich...and that's exactly what I got. I got the pre-made tuna curry, he got the turkey and a coffee. These sandwiches were so delicious, so rare your fantasy meets your reality! Their options were equally tempting but I was trying to be frugal. Would Definitely return. Really liked their deck and decor (simple earthy)...wondering if the name of this deli is inspired by green-point brooklyn, maybe  I'll never know?
Review Source:I was referred here by a friend in New York City, who knows the owners.
I stopped by, took a look around, and bought a few of their homemade snacks and ready-made meals for the road. Nice place ... beautiful set-up, quality goods, friendly owners.
Their operation is at a much higher standard than what I've seen in these parts. Top-notch ingredients and presentations. More sophisticated, less rough-hewn. I liked it a lot.
Wow! Â I was really excited to stumble into Green Point Foods after a long day on the trails, and a longer night ahead on the road. Â
Needed some quick sandwiches for the road -- grabbed two pre-made ones from the fridge case, and hit the road -- hoping for the best, since pre-made sandwiches don't usually taste so good at the end of the day.
The sandwiches were AMAZING! Â We had a tofu sandwich and a turkey sandwich -- they were so tasty, not stale at all, and had great flavor. Â Probably the best meal we had all weekend.
I'm having trouble categorizing this place with the Yelp categories. Â It's part cafe (a few tables, and soups/muffins/sandwiches to grab), part convenience store (a few basics) and part gourmet foods store (I noticed they had a huge selection of gourmet anchovies, for example). Â
But what it is, is a great stop on your way into/out of the hills, to grab something on the go.
